About

Handmade Porcelain Clay, Sterling Silver Jewelry, Bronze Metal Clay, and Gems,

It gives me great pleasure to handwork this jewelry and I love it when someone wears and enjoys a piece I've made. Using my hands and mind to create objects has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Nature and Beach themes are my favorites having never lived more then 20 miles from a sea shoreline.
I've been Slingin Mud since I was young and progressed through high school then attained a B.A in Fine Art from California State University, Long Beach. I have always had a love for all things artistically created and enjoy strolling galleries, museums, and all sorts of art shows.

I am in a renaissance of sorts having quit my good paying job in 1999. I started a hand painted hydrostone accessories company after taking a workshop in faux finishing resulting in selling at local southern California art shows then got accepted into the LAMart, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, etc. and started selling wholesale all over the country. That... was an experience teaching me the ins and outs of the retail minds.
I moved from CA to FL in 2004. Taking beading classes at the local Adult Education for fun got my creative juices flowing. Again, I started a business from them. I have always taken some type of class be it ceramics, jewelry making, stain glass, etc. I now attend the Art Center Manatee for silversmithing and fortunate to live 40 minutes from the Painting with Fire" studio to learn enameling.
So.... now it is time for me to get back to work.

I am so excited to offer you my handmade artistic treasures. My interests in art started as a child, like playing with clay, wood, stones, etc. and still do. I am finally tired of working for others in the corporate fields and now able to work from my poolside home studio "Slingin Mud" creating and having fun. I hope you will truly love your new purchases.
