Handmade Pottery for Pets, Plants, and Other Creatures!
Welcome to Malloryville Pottery, functional and decorative stoneware with nature in mind, created by Brenda Werner. Many of my creations are designed for pets and for the garden, both passions of mine. I am honored to be able to create unique and individualized pet urns for my customers.
I am a Finger Lakes Region, Central NY owned and operated small business.
All of the artistry is created individually by me in my Central NY studio and is not mass manufactured.
The multiple steps and stages in the creation process result in wonderful unexpected variations in glaze and form for each stoneware piece. The entire process of creation involves multiple steps of trimming, drying, decorating, glazing, and firing, and so much time is spent on each creation. The final product when I open the last kiln load is always unique.
My inspiration for creating pieces comes from the landscape and wildlife around me and my observations of the natural yet striking colors and patterns I see. The glazes and clays I choose are strongly influenced by these colors and patterns.
