Received by my friend for a baby gift. I haven't seen in person, but the moccasins and leather bib that I ordered were shipped and arrived promptly and she "can't wait" for her baby to wear them.

Happy Earth Day! Our die cut shapes are made out of our scrap leather. We much rather other crafters use it to create something new than throw those little pieces into the trash. This is our Tiny Trees, recently listed. Earth day is every day. earth_americasdeciduous_tree
Die cut leather appliqué in iceberg or latte, your choice, ready to be used in your next craft project. heart_eyes
Happy Easter weekend! rabbit It's a little late for Easter crafting with our supplies, but our tiny bunnies are pretty cute for a future bunny project.

Passionate about designing and making beautiful, memorable and useful products.

Mally Designs was founded in 2005 by husband and wife team, Ron and Nicole Garza. As parents of 2, we both had the desire to design fun and functional products for families that last, as well as build a business that would allow us to work from home.

In 2005 we came up with the original idea of leather baby bibs. As an original idea, we knew we had something when we showed our first leather bibs to friends and family. Our bibs have since become a staple in many homes of small children and have been known by thousands to be their go to baby gift. Since then our business has grown into other product areas including art cards, change purses, card holders, passport holders, luggage tags, keychains, bookmarks, soother clips, placemats and baby shoes. All of our items are made out of baby safe leather and are handcrafted in our beautiful studio in Mission, BC.

We recently decided to make our leather applique designs available for other crafters to use in their own projects. Knowing that other artisans will find joy in creating finished products with our designs makes us excited and we can't wait to see what our customers create!

We have been honored to have our business and products featured in such media publications as Chatelaine Magazine, the Globe and Mail, Canadian Living, American Baby, Toronto Star, the Vancouver Province, Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine, Canadian Family, Today's Parent, Real Simple and The Georgia Straight to name a few. Our bibs have even graced the necks of celebrity babies and have been gifts for the Royals - both dreams we could have never imagined!

The name Mally comes from Malia, our wonderful daughter who was being fed at the moment we came up with the idea. Now our children are 13 and 15 and even occasionally help out at the studio when they are in the mood.

Frequently asked questions

Can I customize this item?

The answer to this questions is almost always yes. We can customize any item in our shop using the colors and designs we have on hand for a small fee, or we can customize by drawing and hand cutting an entirely new design. The only time we can't do this is if it's something that is too complicated for leather, or if it involves copyright infringement.

How long does it take to get a custom order?

If your item is simply a color change or personalization, we ship that out within 2-6 business days, depending on our scope of work at the time of order.

If your order requires designing and hand cutting, that can take a little bit longer and varies between 1-2 weeks generally. The best thing to do is just drop us a line and ask!

Can I get my items gift wrapped?

Yes! We are happy to gift wrap your order and send directly to your gift recipient if you like, complete with a personal message. Here's a link to our gift wrapping: Just add the quantity of gift wrapped packages that you would like to your cart and send any extra instructions at the time of order.

Can I re-sell the crafts I make using Mally Designs leather supplies?

Absolutely! We love supporting other craft businesses, and if our leather designs appeal to you and suit your business, by all means make and sell them! We would love it if you tagged your work on instagram with our @mallydesigns_studio IG account so we can see and maybe even share your creation!

Do the bibs, sandals and shoes fit true to size?

Yes. For best sizing results, please refer to the sizing charts shown on each listing as it gives more detailed sizing information such as measurements and average ages.

Do your bibs and placemats really not stain?

They really don't. No joke. I know, you think this is impossible. Everyone does, until they try it for themselves and then they become a regular customer who buys our bibs for all the new babies in their lives to amaze more people. It's really a gift that impresses and goes a long way because nobody expects them to be as amazing as they are. We have been supporting our family with the sales of our bibs since 2005. They are not cheap (and not cheap to make!). Believe me, we are on to something, and if you are still not sure, just read our customer reviews. :)

How do you clean your bibs and placemats?

Simply wipe down with a cloth and dry after meal time. Rinsing is okay, but do not submerge. Baby wipes (which every parent has on hand) work great. Don't wait too long after meal time, as like anything, the food will harden on and make it harder to clean off. TIP: mix a paste of baking soda and water to take care of anything that might be a little more stubborn to get off, such as spaghetti sauce.
