Gracias por visitar mi tienda de Etsy. Mi nombre es Michelle Rankin y estoy muy emocionada de tenerte aquí. Poner mi arte en el mundo y abrir una tienda es una nueva aventura para mí, así que estoy agradecido por su apoyo.

Siempre me han encantado las cosas hechas a mano, únicas, coloridas, extravagantes, caprichosas y / o vintage. Al igual que las personas, hay algo hermoso en el arte, los objetos y los muebles que tiene personalidad e historia. Si ha sido muy querido y tiene algunos rasguños o angustia, mucho mejor. También siempre me ha gustado la artesanía y la pintura, pero hasta hace poco era un pasatiempo entre el trabajo y la familia. La mayoría de mis proyectos creativos se hicieron para vacaciones, fiestas o decorar mi casa.

En los últimos años, me retiré de mi trabajo en tecnología, mis hijos se graduaron de la escuela secundaria y he tenido la suerte de pasar más tiempo tomando clases y aprendiendo nuevas habilidades creativas. Me encanta reutilizar artículos que recojo en ventas de propiedades, tiendas de reventa o que obtengo de familiares y amigos en mis proyectos, y también uso muchos materiales nuevos. Mis pinturas generalmente contienen animales, naturaleza y mensajes positivos. Me enfoco mucho en mezclar materiales: pinturas, rotuladores, lápiz, hilos, tela y clavos. Mi trabajo original se realiza en lienzo, restos de madera viejos o puertas de gabinetes usadas anteriormente. También ofrezco impresiones de mis obras.

Hi Y’all,

Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop. My name is Michelle Rankin and I am so excited to have you here. Putting my art out in the world and opening a shop is a new adventure for me, so I am grateful for your support.

I have always loved things that are handmade, unique, colorful, quirky, whimsical, and/or vintage. Like people, there is something beautiful about art, objects, and furniture that has personality and history. If it has been well loved and has a few scratches or distress, all the better. I have also always loved crafting and painting, but until recently it was a hobby squeezed in between work and family. Most of my creative projects were done for holidays, parties or decorating my house.

In recent years, I retired from my tech job, my kiddos graduated high school, and I have been fortunate enough to spend more time taking classes and learning new creative skills. I love reusing items I pick up at estate sales, resale shops, or get from family and friends in my projects, and I also use a lot of new materials. My paintings usually contain animals, nature, and positive messages. I focus a lot on mixing materials: paints, markers, pencil, threads, fabric and nails. My original work is done on either canvas, old wood scraps or previously used cabinet doors. I also offer prints of my works.
