Project must be made primarily from Mama Blue yarn. If the project is a item that is done in pairs, such at socks or mittens, both pieces must be finished. One discount per project, please.

ABOUT MY YARNS
Due to the very nature of hand dyed yarns, some variance between skeins, even those of the same dyelot, can occur. When creating an item that requires more than one skein, please give consideration to alternating skeins between rows.
Colorways can vary due to the fact that they are created in small batches and different base yarns take dye differently. I have found that small bursts of color (aka speckling) from tiny undissolved dye particles are inevitable on some colorways, and are not considered as defects. However, big funky streaks and huge clots of color are not so good and quite uncommon, and those skeins are pulled as seconds.
If you plan on using multiple skeins of the same colorway, I suggest that you purchase them from the same listing or purchase a 'Made to Order' custom order spot. Otherwise, my yarns are available on a first come, first served basis. I do not keep a wait list nor do I offer a layaway option.
Also, sometimes with my Stripes colorways, I'll vary the stripe widths or change the color sequence. This girl likes variety, you see.
In regards to product photos, I take great pains to ensure that the images I use are an accurate and honest representation of the yarn you will be receiving. Of course, even the most careful photography cannot make up for the fact that computer monitors and web browsers vary.
All my products are kept in airtight containers, occasionally with lavender sachets, and come from my smoke-free, pet-friendly, tidy home studio.
Accepted payment methods
Immediate payment is much preferred and appreciated. Delayed payments are expected to made within 24 hours. Orders left unpaid are subject to cancellation.
Regarding multiple purchases during a shop update: Please pay for your purchases in full. As a courtesy to you, I happily process and send refunds to reflect a combined shipping discount. I do not send Paypal invoices for purchases left unpaid. Orders left unpaid are subject to cancellation.
California buyers are charged 8.25% sales tax.
San Diego city/county are charged .5% sales tax in addition to above tax.
El Cajon city/county are charged 1.5% sales tax in addition to above taxes.
(Sorry, sales tax is annoying and unfun, but I have to collect it.)
PayPal will automatically add this amount to all California addresses, so you will notice this added charge when you complete the PayPal step - but it will not be reflected in your Etsy checkout amount.
I do not ship out of Paypal, so please be sure that your Etsy address is correct. If you have ordered from me in the past and your address has changed, it would be lovely of you would send me a convo. I do check for address changes, but your convo will help me to be sure that I have the correct shipping information on file.
It is my policy to all ship orders, including gifts, to the Etsy address of the buyer unless specific arrangements are made with me before making a purchase. I absolutely believe that whatever you want to do with Mama Blue yarn is none of my business, but please, trade/sell/barter after you receive your purchase. I will not be a middleman for these transactions.
All items are shipped via United States Postal Service. Packages are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This means your package will ship promptly, barring an unforeseen circumstance, in which case I will immediately notify you.

$3.00 for the first item. (1.50 for each additional item). First class mail with Delivery Confirmation. If the shipping weight of your items exceed the weight limit for First Class shipping, the package will be upgraded to Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation at no additional charge to you.

Seller is not responsible for custom duties or import tariffs, taxes, or fees (or additional delays caused by customs.) I honestly declare the actual value of items on Customs Declaration shipping forms. (I also cannot fulfill requests to mark the package contents as "gift" on customs forms when the item is actually a purchase.) I sincerely apologize if this causes you to incur additional charges. On occasion, packages can take their time in customs. Due to this, international packages are not considered lost until after 5 weeks after the ship date.

I understand that buying online is a different experience than going to your local yarn shop. If you are ever concerned about an order you received from me, please contact me.
Want to exchange your yarn? Certainly. Please notify me as soon as possible of your intent to exchange, so that I can place the yarns you would like on hold for you. Exchanges can be made for instock yarns only. Please see to it that you mail your exchange within two weeks of the delivery date. The yarn needs to be in its unused, original, clean, uncaked condition and free of pet/smoke/perfume/etc odors. The buyer needs to pay shipping for exchanged items. I strongly suggest you use a trackable method of shipping, as I cannot be held responsible for missing packages. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
Need to make a return? Sure. I am willing to accept returns within 14 days from the delivery date for skeins of yarn that are in unused, clean, uncaked, original condition and are free of pet/smoke/perfume/etc odors. The buyer needs to pay shipping for returned items. I strongly suggest you use a trackable method of shipping, as I cannot be held responsible for missing packages. A refund will be issued through PayPal for the purchase price of the item. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders, when open, are available by purchasing a 'Made to Order' spot in the shop. Reservations become available as my dye schedule permits, and are listed without advance notice. This is to keep availability as open to as many persons as possible. Sorry, I do not keep a waiting list.
Custom orders are for one individual. No co-ops or group orders.
After purchasing your “Made to Order’ spot, I'd be happy to discuss the details of your request. You may order as many skeins in as many different colorways and base yarns as you wish. Unless otherwise noted, only semi-solid colorways are available for custom order. Sorry, variegated colorways, self-striping colorways, color matching or custom colors are not available. I would like to begin finalizing your your yarn and colorway selections within three days. Once we have worked out the details of your custom order and I have added your request to my dye schedule, I cannot accommodate any additions or changes. Depending on the size of your order, a 50% deposit may be required. Wait times depend on the size of your order and on the availability of base yarn.
I will convo you when your order is ready. The purchase price of your ‘Made to Order’ spot will be applied as a credit to your final total. Standard product and shipping charges are charged - no quantity discounts. Custom orders are expected to be paid for in a timely manner.
