After a month and two unreturned messages, I had to report as non-delivered. Etsy dispute center sent message to seller and she to replied them, stating she would mail by two days later and refund shipping because of delay. A week later, neither had happened and Etsy had to intervene. They gave seller two more days to respond and that didn’t happen, so Etsy refunded and will collect from seller. It’s disappointing because I was really looking forward to using the products that are reviewed as being so well made, but this has been a very negative experience.

About

Eco-Friendly Goods for Home and Family

I have a degree in environmental and human biology. I wanted to be a pharmacist. Despite that plan, after the birth of my oldest son about 11 years ago, my life started in a new direction.

I've sewn all of my life (I literally grew up in a quilt store), and commonly made things for friends and family. Etsy was brand-new when I opened my shop in 2007, selling a few baby items that I'd found to be useful with my first son.

Over the years, I started working out-of-the-home less, and focused more on my Etsy shop. I had another son in 2008, and was only working part-time. In 2009, when my second son started to eat solids, I found myself hating how many plastic sandwich bags I was throwing away. So I created a reusable version that could be washed and used again. On Earth Day in 2009, I was featured in the Etsy Finds email, and MamaMade became a full-time job.

Since that day, I have focused more on eco-friendly goods for the home and family, each item being something I needed to make our lives easier while reducing our impact on the environment.

Now we have added a third boy to our family, we no longer use paper in our kitchen, or paper diapers on the little ones. I personally use the items I sell, so that I not only know they will withstand lots of use, but I also know they are practical enough to be used in any family.

I make each and every item you see for sale. I love to sew, and I can't imagine taking even one day off from spending time in my studio.

I'm the mama behind mamamade. By day, I wrangle three young boys, and by night, I venture into my studio to sew and design eco-friendly goods for home and family.
