about Mama Mandolin

Hi! I'm Mandey, a stay at home mom and the brains (and braun) behind Mama Mandolin. Everything I create is made in my home office here in the San Francisco area in my little sewing room, with a connecting door to my boys' bedroom. My love of sewing and creating started a long, long time ago.

Once upon a time, way back when I was just a little girl, my grandma taught me how to sew on her antique pedal sewing machine. From that moment on, in any aspect of my life I was always finding a way to create. My mind and soul feed on problem solving, change and making things with my hands.

In 2010, shortly after the birth of our twins, I felt the need to start sewing again; a creative outlet. I've learned so much on this handmade journey and continue to push myself to new heights. I've found what I truly love to do!

The heart of Mama Mandolin is centered around my love affair with fabric. I tend to chose prints that are modern, bright and a little quirky. I also strive to find prints that are just plain different. It's so important to me to provide quality handmade items that can grow with your children. I tend to shy away from current trends to find patterns and prints that won't go out of style.

In my free time I'm sewing! But in my real - life time, I'm busy being a mom to our 4 year old twin boys and doing all the mom things. I'm outside playing catch, going for bike rides, cooking food (so much food), giving baths, wrestling and endless tickles and hugs. Oh and none of this would be quite as amazing without the support from my hunky, video game playing, bike riding, wildly hilarious, web designer husband.

Welcome! I'm Mandey, mama to twin boys who loves to spend her free time creating. All items are handmade by me in the spare room of our house in the San Francisco area. I do the majority of my creating while my boys are in part-time preschool, when they're napping and occasionally I have enough energy to sew once they're asleep :)

There are no returns or exchanges on purchases. Please let me know, through convo, if your are not satisfied with your purchase, and I will do my best to find a solution for you :)
I only accept PayPal right now. This is a quick, easy and safe way to make your purchases. Please make your payment when you Commit To Buy. If you need help in making your purchase, please let me know :) If you do not have a Paypal account you can still use your credit/debit card through Paypal. If I do not receive payment within 12 hours of placing your order I will send you a friendly reminder. If you do not reply or pay within 72 hours I will cancel your order.

I am willing to make arrangements for a different payment method under special circumstances.
I ship orders on Saturday. Your order will ship on the closest shipping day, after your order has been completed. I will send communication to let you know your products have been shipped. I ship regular USPS. Shipping times for USA usually take 2-5 days depending on where the order is being shipped. International and overseas shipping can take anywhere from 8 days to 2 weeks. Please note this. If you would like your purchase to be shipped next day, please let me know through convo, before your purchase, so I can modify the shipping charges before you check out.

All items are handmade with care and detail, but no human is perfect and in the event that there is a defect with stitching, etc., please notify me with any concerns. I will do my best to fix the problem (this applies to a problem steming from production, not due to regular daily wear and tear or mis-laundering).

I would greatly appreciate your Feedback, after you receive your purchase. I will also leave you Feedback. This is an easy process and helps me gather information about how my customers feel about their purchases and what they might want in the future.
