I’m Sevda from fantastic city of Istanbul, Turkey.
Handcrafting / creating / designing has always been satisfying for me since I was little: I used to produce toys, outfits, jewelries for myself; cloths for my dolls, party clothes for my little sister, nephews...
After graduating as an architect, my interest evolved into professional architectural designs.
After completing my MSc degree in architectural acoustics and starting to work in this more technical field, I started again craving for the satisfaction that I get from designing something. Thus, parallel to my professional life, my story of designing at ETSY started.
I'm happy to create and share my designs here in Etsy world with handmade lovers from all around the world.
Every material related to color, all kind of fabric, bond, ribbon, lace, paint, paper, clay, bead, recycled material etc., attracts me. They give me pleasure creating any kind of object using them. I also like to use traditional materials to produce objects in modern style.
In my creations I sometimes use handcrafting products of my mum and sister who are already involved with some kinds of handcrafts; for example tatting & needle laces are made by my mom Kadriye and crochets & knits by my sister Aylin.
My creations are generaly timeless and gives me pleasure creating them.
