About

Mandarinas de tela: Handmade dolls.

Mandarinas de tela: Handmade dolls.
From the playful world that lives in each one of us, I value innocence and I express it in my dolls, each one created with dedication and love ♥.

The designs first come to life on paper, a sketch that when transferred onto the cloth gives it a life and personality all its own with each detail, all part of the magic of creating a plaything inspired by childhood and ideas compiled from music, colors, art, books, people and life experience.

The dolls are sewn partly on a sewing machine and partly by hand, I choose the fabric that seems most appropriate for the particular doll, I draw the pattern on the fabric, I sew and stuff the doll, afterwards the face is painted by hand in order to give it a distinctive touch, each doll is unique (although the dolls are reproduced, they´re never exactly alike), to put on the finishing touches I paint their shoes, add ribbon, sequins or other special details, put on the label, I give it a little pat on the bum, and it´s ready to go out into the world.

Why are called "Mandarinas" (tangerines)?
Literally "Mandarinas de tela" in English means "Tangerines of cloth".
My name is Isabel Margarita, and a friend gave me a nickname: "Isabel Mandarina", so cute as a tangerine fruit, something small and sweet as my dolls :)

Shipment

❄ In November and December shipments may take longer. The mail could be delayed by the holidays, there are many gifts traveling!

Shipments will be made to your Etsy address.

You'll receive a message with the tracking number, all shipments are registered mail via Correos de Chile, USPS, and when they arrives to your country the responsible is your local post office (nacional or domestic mail), that's where you can follow the tracking number.

Normally I check the tracking, if it arrived and you were not home, I'll write to you, but you must contact the nearest post office and go pick up the package within 15 days, otherwise, will be returned to my country, I can resend again but you should pay the shipping charge again.
