About

Telling a Story

Once Upon a Time, everything started that way. It was never "Last Week" or, "Sometime In November" it was always "once upon a time", that nebulous phrase. It held such potential. Anything could happen after that. Anything could have happened before it. I still feel like a child when I hear that phrase.
I've been reading books full of stories my whole life. They've compelled me, inspired me, scared me, depressed me, confused me, even instilled things in me that shouldn't be instilled in children (like a love of vampires and a deeply rooted fear of the Blob).
In college, they weren't sure what to do with me and it was during my senior show that I finally figured it out--
The story is what matters.
Everything has a story in it. It's my job to figure it out and, in doing so, I put a little bit of myself into it. Every item in this shop means something to me. Everything is pieces of memory-- a story I wrote when I was 13, a poem I read when I was 5, a picture of a crest half-remembered from a dream, that new episode of Dr Who-- it's just all distilled into a form that can finally be shared.
I opened this Etsy shop 4 years ago because I was having far too much fun making bottles and had amassed quite the collection. I still have a few of my favorites, but many of them have never actually made it to Etsy. Every one is unique and, while I can do reproductions, I am limited in what bottles I can use and what I remembered to scan in (one entire collection never made it to the scanner).
If you'd like to see the entire collection of bottles (updated as I get time), please visit my deviantart account:

I hope you enjoy everything in my shop and remember, Halloween is fun year round!

LABELS: All labels, unless otherwise stated, are paper and do not have a glue backing. This is stated in each listing, but I am reiterating it here.

BOTTLES: Many antique bottles contain lead. If a bottle is known to be either antique, found or salvaged, it will be stated in the listing with a reminder that it may contain lead.
Bottles are meant for display only and are in no way meant to be taken seriously (as in, they do not contain real spell components, spells and or potions), nor are they meant to be handled frequently.
