About Maquina37

Sales 198
On Etsy since 2011

Welcome to Máquina 37!

I create socially conscious work, like dolls that help us celebrate diversity and stationary that help us and our children be more inclusive. As a child of color, I never had dolls that looked like me. I also never had anyone talk to me about the LGBTQ community. I grew up thinking that some parts of me were just wrong... Now, I want to help parents and friends spread love.

Fun fact: My shop is named after my 1937 Singer sewing machine or "la máquina" as my mom calls it in Spanish. She immigrated to the United States in the 70’s and worked in a factory for 33 years as a seamstress to support our family. It was her hard work that inspired my love of sewing.
