About

Beautiful art from the heart and hands of Melissa Hill/MarbelleMarbeau

Hi there!

I decided to open an Etsy store because I've always felt compelled to make things. Ever since I was little, I've loved drawing and painting. When I "grew up", I became a graphic designer. Although this professional suits me very well, design is not art and so I still create on the side.

Alas, what is the point of any kind of art if no one sees it? So I decided to open this store in an attempt to share my creations with whoever will enjoy them.

Frequently asked questions

What if I want to return or exchange an item?

We're all nice people here, so if you find there is a problem with your order, please contact me so we can have a chat about a solution.

I will make every effort to package up your order so that it doesn't get damaged, but if something of that nature does happen to occur, please take a photograph so I can see the issue and send it to me as soon as possible. If your item is damaged, not what you ordered, or defective in some way, I will of course send out a replacement.

If you are dissatisfied with your order for some other reason, please contact me so we can discuss a solution. If a refund or exchange is granted, you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

When will you ship my item?

For items that are in stock, I will endeavour to post within 1-3 business days of your payment clearing. If for some reason I don't get to the post office that quickly (we are all human after all, and you never know when clients get demanding and you only get 10 minutes for your lunch break which involves... you know, lunch), I will send you a message so you know what is going on.

For items that are printed to order (mainly photographic prints), I will have to put in an order with the pro lab, so I should be able to post your item to you within about 4-7 business days of your payment clearing. Best not to order these at the last minute!

How will you ship my item?

All items are shipped via regular post. If you need express, registered, or tracking, please let me know and I will work out the additional rates. You should be aware that tracking for international mail tends to be quite expensive.

My standard packaging for smaller prints is a biodegradable cello sleeve with a cardboard backing, tucked inside a 90% recycled rigid mailer. If you think there's a chance that your package might get wetter than a cello sleeve can handle once it gets to your end, please let me know so I can use alternative packaging. Larger prints will be packed in a rigid cardboard tube.

How long will my order take if I'm in Australia?

Timing is dependent on whether you're in a capital city or other metro area, or a regional area. If you're in Melbourne, like me, it's probably going to be 2-3 days from when I post the item. I think we can all agree that Australia Post is pretty unpredictable though, so I think it's safer to go by whatever they say on this page: http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/standard-delivery-timetables.html

If you don't receive your order within 2 weeks, let me know.

How long will my order take if I'm not in Australia?

Again, I won't pretend to be able to predict Australia Post - check this page for their timing estimates: http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/international-post-guide.html#/

If you don't receive your order within 3 weeks, let me know. Please note that I am not responsible for the payment of any duties or customs charges that may be applicable in your country. It is up to you to be aware of any laws and charges for importing items into your country.
