We have always been in the world of arts, the world of inventing, creating, dreaming. As a result, we started this label, named after our grandmother, Marcella, the true designer and inspiration behind it all. So here we are - two years later, our goal is to create designs with clean and edgy lines.

Production with a conscience is one of our main priorities along with providing superior customer service - our ultimate goal is to spread beauty around us. Returns and exchange details
PLEASE NOTE: Out of an abundance of caution, we have implemented a temporary procedure to help defend against the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) which will extend our processing time for returns and exchanges by an additional 5-10 business days. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Need to exchange or return anything?
Not a problem! We’re sorry your order is anything less than perfect!

Please note that all returns and exchanges must be mailed to Europe where our atelier and warehouse are located, within 30 days of receipt and in new and unworn condition.

EXCHANGES: We offer one size/color exchange per garment for a flat processing fee of $9—whether you're sending back one item or multiple items from the same order for exchange.

Please note that we're unable to assist with the cost incurred to mail back the garment, but we’re happy to send your replacement item for no additional shipping charge upon receiving your item for exchange and the exchange processing fee.

RETURNS: Once received, we will issue your refund for the returned garment within five business days. Please be mindful that we wouldn’t be able to assist with the mailing expense you incur to mail garments back to us.

We are happy to offer a discounted return shipping option via DHL, which is usually less expensive and faster than shipping options with tracking offered through your governmental postal service. We can schedule the DHL return pickup service at a discounted rate of $30 USD (for heavier shipments, the rate would be $45).

Please contact us with the specific pieces you’d like to return/exchange, and we’ll send you a link to purchase the discounted DHL shipping. Please note that DHL does not operate in all areas, in which case they will arrange for a local subcontractor to collect the package.

If you do not wish to take advantage of our DHL pickup option, we recommend using a governmental postal service first class or priority mail option with a tracking number to ensure the package’s safe arrival.


For returns or exchanges alike, please follow the instructions below >>>

1. We have Extended Return/Exchange Policy. Any orders placed between November 22nd and December 18th can be shipped back to us (postmarked) by January 15th, 2020.

2.Please contact us at support [!at] marcellamodanyc.com and inform us of your order number and the names of the exact items you plan to exchange/return.

3. We will respond to your message with a link to purchase if you would like to take advantage of our arranged DHL pickup option for your return. Once we receive your payment, we will complete the required documents for you and will share them via email within the following business day, and you will be contacted by DHL to finalize pickup details. If you’d prefer to arrange for your own return shipping, you may use the address below to mail your return/exchange.

4. If you do not wish to take advantage of our discounted DHL pickup option, you may use the following address to mail your return/exchange:

5. Regardless of which return shipping method you choose, kindly fill out the return form enclosed in your order and include it in your package for shipment to help us process your return/exchange. Please make sure to follow the directions on the form, and that all garments for return/exchange are mailed in new and unworn condition within 30 days of receipt.


Additional guidelines for hassle-free returns and exchanges:

• Any desired exchange or return to Marcellamoda must be postmarked within 30 days of receipt.

• If you decide not to take advantage of our DHL return option, we suggest that you send your return with your country's governmental postal service (such as USPS in the U.S.A.) with a tracking number to ensure your package's safe arrival. We ask that you kindly refrain from using an international courier such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT, etc. as intl' couriers charge a customs processing fee of about $50 USD with such global shipments. Please note that in this event, we would need to pass along any such fee to you in order to process your exchange/return.

• Additionally, if you’re arranging your own return shipping, in the process of filling out the customs declaration at your local governmental postal service, please be sure to reference the order number of your invoice and the exact amount paid (net of shipping) for the specific item(s) you plan to return or exchange. Unfortunately, failure to do so may result in significant penalties associated with your return or exchange on the part of customs authorities.

• Merchandise must have all tags attached and must be in its original and unworn condition. A $10 charge applies to all products requiring special handling.

• Regular sale items may be returned or exchanged. "Clearance" items, however, may not be exchanged and can only be returned for store credit. Items marked "Final Sale" are not eligible for return or exchange.

• Custom garments are not eligible for return or exchange.

• We will reimburse you within five business days of receiving your return. For exchanges, we will mail the replacement as quickly as possible, and will send you a follow-up note with a tracking number.

• Original shipping charges, as well as the shipping charges incurred by you to mail the garments back to us, are non-refundable.

• Kindly note that depending on the shipping method and country of origin, return packages could take 1-4 weeks to reach Bulgaria, and might require additional processing time at customs before received by us.

• Please understand that we cannot be responsible for any postal or courier service losing any return or exchange on its way back to us and, unfortunately, would not be able to reimburse you in that case.

• We’re only able to process exchanges for the same item in a new size or color (depending on availability), and cannot process exchanges for two different garments. Any such requests would instead be processed as a return. Please note that we ask customers who are interested in exchanging one or more garments from their order to pay an additional flat fee of $9 for processing.

• Viewing itself as part of a global community, Marcellamoda complies with all laws and regulations in the countries in which we sell. This commitment includes sending all garments with proper customs documentation, a responsibility we undertake not only to be ethical but also to protect our customers from possibly facing steep fines in their home countries.

• Please note that, in most countries in which we sell, there are no customs duties/fees associated with any purchase from MM. We do provide a list of countries in which a customer may need to pay customs duties/fees on our shop page, and in our order confirmation emails. If a customer is okay with the order pursuant to our note but later declines taking delivery of the package from the delivery courier, regrettably, we'll need to charge a $20 restocking fee for the package to compensate for the time and expense to us of processing the package's return to our company.

• Similarly, on occasion, when the courier is unable to successfully deliver a package to a customer at the address provided and instead returns the package to Marcellamoda, regrettably, we'll need to charge a $20 restocking fee to compensate for the time and expense to us of processing the package's return.

• Please feel free to keep the tote bag you received. It's our small gift to you.

• Will my package be "signature required"?

All orders for customers in the US and Canada will automatically be sent via DHL Express and are shipped with a signature requirement, but it can be waived by you at any time before delivery. You should receive a communication from DHL either via text or email once your package's DHL shipping documentation is generated by us, allowing you to confirm your delivery details – including delivery date, location, and whether you'd like to keep or waive the signature requirement.

STANDARD SHIPPING—ALL LOCATIONS OUTSIDE US & CANADA

Orders shipped via the German Postal Service do not include a signature requirement. Kindly note that if the German Postal Service tracking number confirms delivery, we consider the package delivered and respectfully won't be able to offer any resolution.

You might prefer that the order be sent to your place of employment, to a trusted friend who could receive the package during delivery hours, etc. Please note that for orders sent with standard shipping via the German Postal Service, once any such order has been sent out by us, there will be no way for us to edit shipping and delivery details, so please contact us immediately after placing your order if you wish to make any changes.

Any package with a total weight of over 4.4 lbs (or 2 kg) will automatically be upgraded by us to DHL Express at no additional charge, which includes a signature requirement. Please see below for more information.

Some countries charge additional customs and duties and customers are responsible for any such charges. We wish we knew all the specific charges, but even though we don’t, we’d like to offer some very general information about how much approximately these charges may be for some of the countries we ship to:

< Canada: about 8-30%, depending on the province

< Australia: about 15%

< Switzerland: about 10%

< Norway: between 30-70%, depending on order value

< Israel: about 25%

< Singapore: about 7%

< Puerto Rico: about 10.5%

• Which address will my order be sent to?

All items will be shipped to the address on your Etsy account. If you wish for your item to be shipped to a different address, please send us a note immediately once you place your order so that we can change it. If your order is shipped prior to you sending a request for an address change, we wouldn't be able to reimburse you and we thank you for your kind understanding.

• My package got lost or damaged? Will you offer a resolution?

Though we always strive to provide a superior customer experience, mail couriers on occasion experience lost/stolen/damaged packages. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for the couriers, and would not be able to reimburse you in the event that your package gets lost, stolen or damaged. We’d recommend that you contact the courier directly as they are best positioned to remediate the issue.

Could you help me choose a size?

Yes, buying online can be tricky and sometimes frustrating in terms of choosing the right size. We're here to help.

Even though we don't accept orders for garments with custom sizing, we can help you with some general advice. For example, our jersey and ponte garments are quite stretchy, so we usually recommend sizing down when in doubt.

We wish we could have you try our garments in person, but since this is not an option as of now, just drop us a note and we'll do our best to guide you in the right direction.

Could you customize a garment for me?

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are not able to accept fully customized orders at this time.

We can occasionally accommodate requests for the shortening or lengthening of some of our non-asymmetric designs, so please reach out with an inquiry. We are also able to offer some garments in additional colors to those offered in the listing.

If we’re able to make the custom order for you, we wouldn’t be able to accept a possible return/exchange request. Some customizations also require an additional fee, so please be sure to reach out with any questions prior to placing your order.

Many of our garments are made of high-stretch fabric, which allows for flexible sizing, but still, drop us a note so we can help you with your choice.

Returns and exchanges

If you would like to return an item for exchange or reimbursement, please contact us at support@marcellamodanyc.com within 14 days of receiving your order, and inform us of your order number and the codes of the exact items you plan to exchange/return.

We're happy to arrange DHL pickup for your return package at a discounted fee. We appreciate your understanding—we would not be able to reimburse you for your return shipping cost as we try to keep our prices relatively low.

Please, be sure to fill out the return form enclosed in your order. Kindly note that all returns and exchanges must be mailed to Europe where our atelier and warehouse are located.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will be made, wrapped with love and sent on its way from Europe.

All orders to the US/Canada will automatically be shipped via DHL Express at no additional charge. For all other locations, depending on whether you selected our standard shipping option or the express upgrade, you could expect to receive your order in hand (including any necessary production and shipping time) within the following ranges of time:

How fast is the shipping? Should I order express shipping?

Our standard shipping times are approx. 3-5 days to Europe, 3-8 days to the US/Canada, and 5-15 days to the rest of the world.

We now offer the option to upgrade your shipping for express delivery via DHL Express!

Please allow 2-5 business days for us to prepare your order. Then, once shipped, your order will be sent with a tracking number and signature requirement, and you would receive it within:
