making things i like when i can't find them elsewhere
i finally up and quit the job i could no longer stand and got to work figuring out how to never have to go back. i decided my jewelry-making just might be worth a more dedicated effort. so things got a little more serious.
while i do still have a "day job," i am lucky that its a creative environment with flexible people who know where my passion lies. i love machines and metal and tools and getting dirty, which is why i was so immediately drawn to both printmaking (in which i have my bfa) and metalsmithing (the bulk of what i do now).
my designs are line-based, sometimes botanically-inspired, and mysteriously to me, a little geometric. they're definitely art-deco, while also a little modern. i like unexpected color palettes and a healthy dose of asymmetry. always and most importantly, they are things i like and things i want to wear (and do).
Owner, Maker, Designer
i love being a girl, but i'm not very girly. i love wearing make up and dresses and jewelry. but i also love machines and tools and getting dirty. modern femininity to me is that dichotomy of strength and beauty, and i try to reflect that in my pieces.
