My Love for Vintage...

My Love of of all things vintage started at a young age. Firstly as a child mesmerised by a family friend's 70's buckle bag exhibiting many exciting pins and badges of the day. All statements and symbols. Secondly as a young girl in primary school poring over 1970's magazines I had purchased from the school fair in the early 80's absorbing every page and fad of the time. I discovered pattern making as a teenager and enrolled in a Fashion Design course dropping out of school because my heart just said so. Nothing provided me more pleasure than to reach for my personal blocks to create a pattern for the design our lecturer selected for the day. I had to leave my aspiration of becoming a Fashion Designer behind to pursue another career but along the years created my own collection, my own personal museum you could say of Vintage Fashion that I admired and held onto with joy. I continue to add special items. Those I have decided to let go will be listed in the shop. My hope is these bring joy to others, enabling us to embrace the past in the present.
