Absolutely the best bag! I love them nice and large, and this one is terrific, for all the things I find I must have with me. Beautifully made, the style isn't overbearing though. And did I say blue is my color?! A girl simply cannot go wrong with one of these bags!

So beautiful bag and I fell in love immediately. Maria was very nice and pleasant to communicate with. Very good customer service throughout. The bag was wrapped well and came in timely manner. Thanks!
A Bolt of fabric,An old machine and a Studio on four legs.
It's amazing how seemingly random events can have the most significant impact on the rest of your life. For me,one of these was the sighting of a bolt of fabric.
Black with a gold embroidered vine motif,it was the most luscious piece of VINYL I'd ever seen! I bought a few yards and started invisioning all sorts of possibilities for its use. The first being to cover a whole floor with it! The legistics of that became too costly and a bit complicated so I put the vinyl in a drawer until I would come up with a better idea.
The second event was the reliquishing of an old industrial sewing machine by a woman who had been a quilter and crafter all her life. She was done with sewing and happy to make room for new interests.
And the third, goes way back to when my father was breaking down his home office and handed over to me his large, rectangular, green desk. This was to become my studio...on four legs. A place to scribble ideas, collect objects of inspiration, layout projects. It wasn't a studio in a traditional sense, not a room or a space made of four walls, but it gave me a place to go,to sit at,where I could create.
Collect these three events and you have what makes up my studio today.
The fabric soon presented itself as the perfect material to make a bag.The table, now flipped on the reverse non green side, the place to draw and cut out that first bag. And the machine, the means to sew up what was to become the very first, mariascati bag.
I create, cut and sew my bags in non assembly line fashion here in my studio in Philadelphia.Creating is a passion, appreciiation of what we create, the prize. Thank you etsy for the platform to offer what we create!
