An Inherited Lifelong Passion for Jewelry
My fabulous grandmother, Mary, was a crazy-talented dress maker with a love of costume and fine jewelry. My shop was born from an inspired mixture of our jewelry boxes and consists of minimal, layering and geometric pieces that combine a bit of nostalgia with a definitive modern edge.
Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted in my Chicago studio using traditional and non-traditional metalsmithing and jewelry making techniques. I combine modern + vintage metal and stones to produce a unique convergence of past and present.
{And...as you may have guessed, my grandmother’s favorite flower was the marigold.}

My jewelry is all about mixing beautiful vintage elements with their modern counterparts. All pieces are designed and handmade by me in my Chicago studio. If you have any questions or custom order requests, please contact me through Etsy’s conversation system.

Your order is personally handmade for you...so if you are not blissfully happy with it, please contact me within 14 days of receipt. Returns will be accepted in the original packaging and in perfect unworn condition. I cannot accept returns or exchanges on custom orders that are personalized in any way.

Payment is due at the time of sale. Illinois orders include sales tax.

I ship via USPS First Class Mail as the standard delivery option. You also have the option to upgrade to USPS Priority or USPS Express.
Production Time~
Everything in my shop is made to order. My current production time is 5-10 business days.

Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of USPS and I have no way of knowing exactly how long your package will take to arrive. It usually takes 2-6 business days within the continental US and 2-6 weeks for international orders. Please be patient with the postal service’s speed of delivery.
Domestic USPS Priority Mail (please choose the Priority Shipping Upgrade in the drop down menu at checkout):
It usually takes 2-3 business days, but is NOT guaranteed by USPS.

Domestic Package Tracking~
Delivery confirmation comes standard on all domestic (within the US) shipments and is included in the shipping confirmation email that is automatically sent by email via PayPal.
International Package Tracking~
Very few countries offer international tracking, so please understand that we are unable to track many international packages once in transit. If you would like to upgrade your international shipment to a mail option that has tracking and/or insurance, contact me ahead of time. Additional shipping charges will apply.
Customs Charges~
International customers are responsible for any customs charges, VAT and/or brokerage fees that might be added by your country/government. Please respect that I cannot declare your purchase as a "gift" and/or state that the package is worth less than it is.
Additional policies and FAQs
All jewelry is delicate and I would urge you to handle your new pieces with care. I do not recommend wearing jewelry to sleep, exercise, swim or shower.
Sterling silver is an alloy of copper and 92.5 percent pure silver. It tarnishes very easily (especially when it is not being worn) and needs regular cleanings to keep its shine. Metal jewelry polishing cloths are an excellent way to bring your silver back to its original appearance.
I make many of my pieces from raw or antiqued brass. Brass is a zinc/copper alloy that is golden in color. The finish on polished raw brass pieces looks like gold though it will eventually patina over time, which I think lends character to the piece. Try to avoid contact with lotion/oil, humidity and sweat. If you would like to return your brass piece to its original luster, use a metal jewelry polishing cloth or brass cleaner.
14k gold filled is made with a substantial layer of gold bonded to a base metal core using heat and pressure. It has approximately one hundred or more times gold than gold plated components. The gold is so thick, it can be soldered and handled similarly to real 14k gold. Under normal wear and care, the gold will not flake, fade or peel. You can clean by rubbing gently with a clean cloth.

One of my favorite design projects is deconstructing jewelry that has been passed down by a loved one to create something modern and fresh for the new owner. If you have an old necklace, bracelet or earring set that you would like to see repurposed, please contact me for a custom order. I will also be happy to create something brand new for you!

Marigold Mary pieces are beautifully (but not excessively!) packaged and make the perfect gift.
