Marigold is all-natural, which means I only use wholesome, skin-loving ingredients like responsibly-sourced vegetable oils and butters, clays and botanicals, and therapeutic-grade essential oils. I never use synthetics of any kind (except sodium hydroxide, or lye, without which it would be impossible to make soap!): no artificial fragrance, no petroleum-based detergents, no emulsifiers or fillers or preservatives.

Please see Profile for more information on "all-natural."

Payment
I take PayPal. If you have trouble dealing with PayPal, contact me, and we can work something out where you pay by check or money order.
Shipping
Within the US, for packages 13 oz and under, I ship First Class, no delivery confirmation. Over 13 oz, I ship Priority with delivery confirmation. I am always happy to upgrade your package to Priority or add insurance or tracking -- just ask, and I will send you an invoice.

Outside the US, for packages under 4 lbs and of no greater than 36 inches' total dimension, I ship First Class International. Larger or heavier than that, and I ship Priority International Flat Rate. PLEASE NOTE: if your package needs to go out Priority International, I will almost certainly need to charge you extra, because Etsy's shipping calculator simply isn't sophisticated enough to be accurate for both small and large international packages. If the shipping charge is a deal-breaker, I will of course allow you to back gracefully out of the sale with no hard feelings.
Refunds and Exchanges
If something arrives wrong, please let me know immediately. I will always do my best to make it right. I may ask that you ship the product back to me so that I can verify its wrongness -- if the fault is verifiable, I will refund your shipping costs along with the original cost of the item.

If you change your mind about a purchase before it has shipped, let me know. I will refund your money -- less Etsy's and PayPal's percentages -- ASAP. If I have already shipped the item, you are still welcome to ship it back and exchange it (for store credit), but I ask that you pay for all the shipping to and fro.
Additional policies and FAQs
SUMMERTIME SHIPPING

Balms, butters, and salves are likely to melt in transit during the summer. In general, this will not hurt them at all, and the best way to revive them is to pop them into the fridge (right side up!) as soon as they arrive. This will harden them back up, and will in most cases prevent grains from forming (grains aren't a sign of spoilage -- some people just don't like them).

Soaps may soften in the heat. There's nothing wrong with them, but they will last longer if you let them harden and dry in cool air for 24-48 hours before use.

Please be aware that I will not replace or refund purchases because of summer melting.

ANIMALS + ALLERGIES

My workshop is in my home, which I share with cats, dogs, and nuts both literal and figurative. I am careful to keep the animals and nuts out of my work, but I cannot guarantee that fur, dander, and wee bits of allergens won't become incorporated in my wares.

TRADES

I am open to offers of trades and barters, but that doesn't mean I want to trade with everyone all the time. Please don't be hurt if I say no.

WHOLESALE + CUSTOM

It is my intention, once fully operational, to make wholesale a significant part of my trade. But I am not quite ready to produce on a large scale yet. If you're willing to suffer a substantial lead time (8-10 weeks), however, I can fill any order.

Custom requests should probably go through Alchemy now that it's back (yay!), but contact me if you have any questions. I'm open to requests for soaps containing particular ingredients or performing particular tasks. If I don't think it's a bar I'm likely to sell to anyone but you, I may ask that you agree to buy the whole batch, which will be 5+ bars @ $4.25+ each (cost depends on cost of ingredients, of course).

I'm delighted to make half-size bars for wedding favors, gift bags, etc. I can work with you to add your logo or design to a label for a nominal fee.

FEEDBACK

I leave feedback for buyers once I have received payment. I want my customers to feel totally free to leave honest feedback for me without being afraid that I will retaliate. The down-side of this is that I often leave feedback before I've had a chance to get to know you, and it's impersonal -- sorry about that!
