I am a self-taught printmaker based in north Hampshire.

In 2022, after 10 years as a stay at home mum and almost 20 in the IT industry prior to that, I rekindled a childhood love for drawing and found a passion for all things printmaking, especially linocut and screen print. I enjoy experimenting and am ever evolving my technique and style in response to the subject of my inspiration. Whilst I've always enjoyed art, the Covid lockdown gave me the time and space to explore and develop my passion.

A keen walker, I draw inspiration from the rural landscape around me and life on my allotment.

All prints are designed, hand drawn and handmade by me in my home studio. The whole process takes a number of days depending on the complexity and size of the print.

After I've finalised my initial sketch, my design is drawn onto paper and then transferred in reverse to a lino block. The block is carved by hand, using specialist tools, before being inked and printed onto relief printing paper, which is acid free and archival. The oil based ink needs time to dry before another layer of colour can be applied, which is either from the same block after it has been carved some more, called a reduction print, or from a separate block, which has been carved differently, which is a multi block print.
