MARIPOSAFUERTE is a husband and wife team whose passion for Mexican Folk Art and Arte Popular has its roots in healing from a life changing diagnosis 11 years ago, 4 days after Rad proposed to her. While it took this event to push them back to their creative roots, Tee's cultural connection to her Mexican heritage has been embraced by Rad who fell in love with the story of Guadalupe. He has collected over 300 vintage and antique historical postcards and photographs of the Basilica de Guadalupe & Guadalupe which has documented the evolution and the devotion of her disciples. His unique shrines to the Saints and Religious icons is as diverse as his stunning intricate 3-d diorama- like multimedia shadowboxes and posters. Tee brings a diversity in her colorful creations of Day of the Dead pieces for altars such as Calaveras, multi media religious tiles, shrines and sacred heart jewelry. She also continues to capture moments in time through her photography which she has loved since childhood.

They are both inspired by their Grandmothers' whose love of the Catholic Religion was cornerstone in their lives.
