About

Wearable jewelry for every woman.

I want to make jewels for everyday use. Simple, elegant, sometimes unusual in the colour combinations.
Jewels that can strike for their simplicity and enhance any outfit without stealing the show to the woman who is wearing them. I prefer to use semi precious and precious stones, sterling silver, leather, silk and other natural materials such as linen cord or copper.

I have attended metalsmith and lost wax casting classes, I'm focusing now especially on lost wax techniques, that allow me to have unique pieces with the organic look and use also bronze, a metal I love for the durability of its warm colors.

The lost wax process is a very ancient method of metal casting in which a molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model.

After creating the model in wax we want to reproduce in metal, a wax wire structure is attached to the base of the wax models that will have the shape of a small wax tree.  The model is then covered in a sand-like plaster substance, and put into an oven where this plaster substance will harden around the wax. When the piece is fired, the wax sprues and model melt, leaving an empty space in the investment and the openings (the twigs of the “tree”) through which the molten metal (sterling silver, bronze, gold etc.) can be poured. After the metal is cast and let it cool, the plaster investment is broken and scraped away from the metal casting to reveal the piece inside, that is composed of the original wax models attached to the tree. They must be carefully cut from the twigs and polished from the thick patina that cover it and clean and polished by hand. A long journey, isn’it?

Care instructions

I strive to use only metals producted here in Italy (Italian sterling silver and bronze casting grains) and use the best quality materials to string my jewels and take a great care making them, however they will need care, it's never a good habit to wear them while showering, swimming or sleeping and that applies especially to the silk thread collection.

Sterling silver could tarnish overtime, apply a mild soap on a soft cloth or brush and it will be back to its original conditions.
Bronze will oxidize over time, turning a darker color, that gives depth and character to bronze pieces. To prevent tarnish, keep your bronze item stored in a plastic airtight bag and polish it with mild soap on a soft cloth.
