About

Good art makes me happy.

I have always been curious, always wanted to know how things worked, always wanted to make art. My dad instilled a love of getting my hands dirty and learning to make things with the best possible craft.

I love to try my hand at every new material and technique I encounter, right down to making my own paint, stretching my own canvas, creating my own paper. I have been making things of one sort or another since childhood and as a result I have learned to work with a multitude of different materials and artistic approaches.

Much of the inspiration for my work comes from nature, the intricate patterns, the microcosm of the insect world. I also find inspiration from my kids - my 2 amazing children and the high school artists I am privileged to teach.

Selling on Etsy is a new venture for me, I have so much respect for all the talented artisans here! I welcome your comments and special requests. Thank you for taking a look!

Materials I enjoy: oil pastel, acrylic, tempera, colored pencil, watercolor, guache, pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, oil, etching, pen & ink, silk screen, solar plates, film and digital photography, photoshop, mixed media, pastel, collage, linoleum, cut paper, wood burning, book binding, stained glass, silver point, crayon, conte crayon, scratch board, mono printing, ceramics, wire sculpture, plaster carving, metal casting, plaster casting, dry point.
On my bucket list: encaustic, felting, wood carving.... Never stop learning.
