Welcome to MaritimeArts! I offer reenactment clothing hand made by moi! And sometimes my hubby...lol. I have been sewing for over 15 years and have been involved in reenacting, in some form, for over 20 years. My first venture was at the Renaissance Faires and I have trickled through the Revolutionary War, Pirate faires and festivals and cowboy/Victorian reenacting. So you see, I truly love the art of reenacting and of creating my own clothing.
All my garments are made from historical patterns or drafted by me with historical guidelines in mind. I sew with an eye for detail. All the garments are finished by serging or French seaming for neatness.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
Most of my items are sold "as is" and there are no refunds. And I DO NOT accept refunds on "custom sized" garments. I try VERY hard to describe my item accurately and will only refund if an item was misrepresented. A custom made gown or item is made to your size specifications and therefore can not be refunded. Please look at item descriptions for measurements of garments closely. Also, remember to measure yourself with your period undergarments and shoes and take this into consideration before purchase. Most of my work is cutom to your specific size measuremnts. Please keep that in mind when ordering. Thank you.
Payment
I take Paypal for payment. I unfortunatley are now requiring payment through Paypal as I have had too many problems with people paying by other methods.
If you purchase an item from the store already made I will need immediate payment before I can ship the item. If you have a custom order, I am now requiring payment up front before I can start work on any custom item. Custom work is done with you measurements and can not be resold.
If you purchase through the shop you will have 3 days to complete payment process. If after 3 days I have not received payment or communication from you I will have to cancel the sale and relist the item. Any clarifications on this policy, please email me.
::NOTE:: you do not need a Paypal account to submit payment with a credit card. Paypal will also process a limited number of credit card purchases even for non-members. To pay using credit cards via Paypal when you don’t have a Paypal account:
--At check out, confirm your address.
--Choose Payment Method as PAYPAL. (later they will ask for your Credit Card info)
--Click on “Pay with PAYPAL”. (Ignore the box that asks if you have a Paypal acct.)
--Now fill out the section that asks for your credit card info.
**Rush Orders**
If you need your item sooner than the item description states is required please convo me and see if I can do your item in the time you need. Rush orders will require an additional fee of $10.00. Most times I get the items out before item description states. I will happily try and work with you on time restrictions.

I usually ship USPS priority flat rate or regular priority mail. I require that the buyer pays for shipping unless otherwise stated or agreed upon. Most of the larger clothing items are several pounds so USPS flat rate seems to be the least expensive way to ship. I will ALWAYS combine shipping if you are purchasing more than one item. If that is the case, please contact me and I will put up a custom listing for you with all your items and one shipping charge.
I gladly ship international. Please be aware "SHIPMENTS out of the country may incur additional charges, such as customs fees, etc." I will not be responsible for international customs fees incurred at the destination country.
