Pen, Pencil, Go.

The Printer in the Rye began at the beginning of 2013. I'd been travelling in the past year, and whilst it was great being outside of the UK, I missed certain things about England, and I missed drawing. I moved back to England and then in coming home, decided to make use of my degree and start drawing again.

Being a football lover, I started to illustrate my favourite players, and decided to open up a store and see how it went. So far it's been great.

The Printer in the Rye for me is about creating prints that people can enjoy displaying in their homes. I try to keep the prints pretty minimalistic, in the hope that they cater for all family members. The name came from my love of printmaking and one of my favourite books, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I really wanted to come up with a catchy title, that had something to do with both Art and Literature.

I'm always looking for new things to draw so if you have any ideas, let me know. Thank you for visiting, hope you enjoy what you find here.

Shipping
All prints to the UK are sent 1st class. To anywhere else (USA etc.) it normally takes 5-10 days. The print/s will be packaged in a mailing tube and labelled clearly with your address. Please note it says 3-5 days dispatch on Etsy but I should get it out to you quicker than that. I don't send the item recorded, as it would cost you too much. What I get instead is a proof of postage, which I'll keep hold of until you receive the order :)
