A Cutting Edge Combination of Color and Composition.

Mixing metal work with enamels is a lot of fun. I get to play with fire, color and form all day. Enamel has a history of allowing metalsmiths to add color to their work without using gemstones. I use vitreous enamels, powdered glass, not a resin or paint. This process fuses glass to metal at 1400 degrees for a durable piece that will last a lifetime.
In the workshop I start my process with drawings that are then carved into wax shapes. These waxes are then cast into metal jewelry parts. With these sterling silver castings I can then start the enameling process. Enamels need to be applied in thin layers and fired to 1400F. I repeat this multiple times. Each piece of jewelry then has to be sanded and polishing before it is gift boxed and sent to your door.
