Tiny Treasures and Accessories

Several years ago my husband and I retired. For any of you who have also had that blessing, you know it can be difficult to “slow down”. We had both worked hard and long and to all of a sudden say “sit down and take it easy” was not in the vocabulary. So I decided to build a Doll House. Not a single room shadow box, mind you, but a 9 room mansion from scratch. I built the structure and laid hardwood flooring. Then papered, wains coated and crown molded the walls. Chandeliers, sconces and lamps were electrified. The exterior was trimmed in white gingerbread with hanging porch swing. Then of course came the furnishing. That in itself was another 6 months of work, building many pieces myself and now and again purchasing a mini treasure along the way. The Dollhouse was finally complete and In the interim I had learned to “slow down a little”  All that being done, I looked back to discern which items I had enjoyed the most. Though it was a difficult decision (sort of like deciding which of your children you like the best) I came to the conclusion that making the tiny paper accessories was my forte.
So now begins another “chapter”, sharing my love of paper and accessories with you. I hope you will enjoy these offerings. If you have any suggestions or special requests, please contact me. I’m home most days………after all, I’m retired. 

All of our miniatures are for Dollhouse Miniature Enthusiasts. Normally a light brushing with a soft paint brush will whisk away the dust. These are not toys for children and could be a choking hazzard.
