Announcement    Marsha Williamson Mohr has actively been taking photographs for close to 35 years. She has had many of her photographs in publications such as Country, Farm and Ranch Living, Indiana and Virginia Tour Guides, on postcards, calendars, in books and catalogues. Her "Claim to Fame" is photographing rural scenes and structures, even though she will have an occasional mountain or autumn scene published. Mohr's photographs are recognized by her style. Her work composing these unique rural scenes are what she aspires for; viewing, striving, arranging over and over until it's perfect, with her own individual inventive technique Her first book Indiana Barns, 2010,
Quarry books, Indiana University Press, won her an IPPY Silver Medal in the Outstanding Midwestern Non-fictional category, and was presented in New York City. Her second book, Indiana Covered Bridges, 2012, Quarry books, Indiana University Press, also won an IPPY Bronze Medal for Best Regional Non-Fictional at the Awards. Mohr’s last two books are, Parke County, Indiana’s Covered Bridges Capital, 2015, Quarry books, Indiana University Press and Indiana’s Wabash River Valley, 2016, MT Publishing Company, Inc. She has been honored by being selected to signature her books at the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Historical Society’s yearly Author Fair in Indianapolis four times, as well as the Author Fair at the Indianapolis Central Library. In 2014 Marsha was juried into the Indiana Artisans, as well as having her own exhibits in Plainfield and Friends of the Frankfort Libraries. She participates in talks promoting rural America and was a founding member of the Indiana Barn Foundation.
