Announcement   Hi!
Thanks for visiting my shop. I'm an artist living in Long Beach, California with my husband Jim and our two sweet kitties, KitKat and Ninja. I grew up in a small town in the beautiful northern California redwoods, which helped shaped my appreciation of the natural world. My love for creating began early on. I started drawing when I was three and continued to do so through my childhood, young adulthood, college and beyond.

Art has always been my passion and I've dabbled in a variety of mediums over time including painting and drawing with oil, encaustic, ink, acrylics, pen, pencil and pastel. My current artistic focus is creating animal and bird portraits on wood and paper. These paintings and drawings are inspired by the animal kingdom and the natural world around us. I love all things Flora and Fauna and dream of someday becoming a full-fledged botanical artist. I'm currently working on uploading many of my original paintings and drawings for sale-- stay tuned!

Between the dates of 2011-2012, I did a project where I did a drawing a day for a year. I began the project as a way to slow down the passage of each day, increase my artistic productivity and to make myself more accountable to my creative process. If you’d like to read more about this project view my archived blog here: https://mbsdailydrawing.blogspot.com/

Many of the selected prints currently featured in my shop are from my daily drawing project as well as from local shows I've done in the past five years.

Thanks for visiting!
