30 Plus Years in the Making

I remember as a little girl looking forward every Friday morning to the newspaper's arrival. I would sit down with the classified section, a pencil, paper and map. I would meticulously chart out all of the garage, yard and rummage sales. Saturday morning couldn't come fast enough. My dad and I would pile into the station wagon and off we would go on our weekly father-daughter day of scavenging the countryside for antiques and collectibles.

Fast forward 30 some years and nothing has really changed. I've just added estate sales and auctions to my weekly repertoire. I come from a long line of collectors. My mother may have taught me all about country western antiques, but it was my grandmother's passion for glass that really influenced me.

It was always my dream to open my own antique store. Honestly, I never really saw that dream coming to fruition. I couldn't imagine myself being tied down to a brick and mortar store. So, I had to wait for the Internet and Etsy to come along in order to pursue that little girl's wish.

Shipping
SHIPPING TO THE U.S.:
We use USPS First Class Mail, Parcel Post and Priority Mail to ship orders. If you would like an item faster, please contact us and we can discuss and arrange for expedited shipping. You may be responsible for alternative shipping charges. If that is the case, we will create a special Etsy listing for the additional shipping charge. Shipment will not be made until the listing has been paid in full.

When an item has Flat rate shipping (where no matter what zip code you enter into the calculator, the cost doesn't change), it is calculated based on Washington State to New York. Shipping to the West Coast on certain items can be significantly less. Please convo us with your zip code, if you'd like an exact shipping cost. Considerable shipping overages will be refunded.

SHIPPING TO CANADA:
We use USPS Priority Mail International. Delivery time is generally between 6-10 days. We can ship via USPS Express International at an additional cost, which generally shortens delivery time to 3-5 days. If you would like an item faster, please contact us and we can discuss and arrange for expedited shipping. You may be responsible for alternative shipping charges. We will create a special Etsy listing for the additional shipping charge. Shipment will not be made until the listing has been paid in full.

These shipping time-frames are only a guide. We are not responsible for the time that packages may sit in your country's customs offices awaiting clearance.


INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
Some of our listings have international shipping options. We are in the process of upgrading all of our non-electrical items for international shipping. If you do not see the option to ship to your country, please message us for a shipping quote. We reserve the right to not ship to certain countries, so please contact us prior to making your purchase.

The buyer is responsible for any and all customs duties, VAT or other taxes / import fees. Please check PRIOR to making your purchase to ensure that these additional charges enforced by your country are within your budget. Our shop is NOT liable or financially responsible for any additional customs fees / taxes, nor are we allowed to collect them. Also, we follow customs regulations and cannot legally declare your purchased items at a different price than what you paid for them. Please do not ask us to mark your shipment as a "gift". This is against the law.


HANDLING CHARGES:
Packaging charges are added directly into the shipping cost for large and/or fragile items. Most lamps ship in heavy duty boxes with a full large bag of packing peanuts and bubble wrap. These costs are included in the shipping rate.


COMBINED SHIPPING:
We will be happy to combine shipping on multiple items when available. Certain items do not qualify for combined shipping due to the delicate nature or size of the item. We try to mark these clearly in the item description, but it is at our discretion which items qualify for combined shipping regardless of what is stated in the description. If you would like to combine shipping , please convo us prior to making your purchase, so that we can reduce shipping charges (if possible).


YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS:
Per Etsy policy, we will ship your order to the address as entered in the “ship to” section of your Etsy checkout and sales receipt. It is your responsibility to confirm that your Etsy shipping address is correct to allow us to ship your order properly. Please double check all ship to addresses, especially for gifts. It is very easy to swap numbers in an address that you aren't used to typing.

If we are able to confirm that the address is incorrect prior to shipment, we will contact the buyer via Etsy convo and the email address that the buyer has provided to Etsy. We will wait to hear back from the buyer regarding the correct address. We are not allowed to change the address ourselves without written consent of the buyer. Email or convo are considered written consent.


UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES:
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address, we will contact the buyer to obtain a new shipping address. The buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping charges if the address error was their mistake or if a safe place was not available to leave the package. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a safe place for package deliveries. We will create a special Etsy listing for the additional shipping cost. Shipment will not be made again until the listing has been paid in full. If you wish to cancel your order instead of re-shipping it, you will be refunded the cost of the item minus the original shipping charge.


LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES:
We insure all packages. If a package is officially lost by USPS, we as the seller, will put in a claim for the item.

If a package is confirmed as delivered by USPS, but the buyer is unable to locate the package, we highly suggest that the buyer contacts their local USPS office. USPS can often use GPS to locate where a package was delivered. They can also speak directly with the mail carrier who covers that route. We also encourage buyers to speak with neighbors, other household members or other people in the area who may be holding the package. If none of that proves to be successful, the buyer will need to file a claim with their USPS office for stolen mail. Our shop is not responsible for stolen packages that are confirmed as delivered by USPS.


SHIPPING TIME-FRAMES:
The time-frames given for delivery once an item is picked up by USPS is merely a guide. Once a package is in the hands of the United States Postal Service, we cannot control what happens to it. If you feel that your order is taking longer than should be expected, please feel free to convo us and we can try to contact USPS for a status update.
Refunds and Exchanges
A refund will be issued only if an item has been misrepresented (unintentionally of course) or if it has been damaged in transit.

Although we do our best to package items carefully, sometimes things do break. Please DO NOT throw away the original packaging and broken item(s). In order for us to issue you a refund in full, we will need photo proof of the damaged item(s) and our a third party insurance company (offered through Etsy) will also require you to sign an affidavit stating that the item arrived damaged. An inspection of the broken shipment may be required prior to the insurance company approving an insurance claim.

Due to the vintage nature of the items we sell, we cannot guarantee that items are from smoke or pet free homes. We can only guarantee that once we have them, they are in a non-smoking environment.
