    Mary's mother said she colored in the lines when she was two and her father once wrote in a Christmas letter to family, "Mary is seven now and she is really good at art. We are trying to help her foster her artistic talents." The following year Mary's father passed away. It wasn't until Christmas 2017 that Mary ever read this note to family from her father. Finding that note was a tipping point for Mary.

    The trying times Mary faced as a young child only made her to become a strong adult. Mary Felker trained as an K-12 Art Educator in Nevada where her students taught her the term "YOLO a.k.a. You Only Live Once." Mary really identified with this term because of the experience of losing her father at a young age. Mary understood her father was very young and had a lot of life to live so she began to YOLO every day. After Mary got home from teaching high school art she would create art and pursue opportunities.

    Though Mary Felker was exhausted every day and weekend after teaching full time she pursued her art as if it was the last thing she was going to do. Mary isn't quite sure what people mean when they say teachers get a lot of time off because she creates art, manages social media, and works on the business aspects of her art when she gets time off of teaching.

    Mary Felker's you only live once attitude has evolved her art from focusing on rock climbing centered pieces to her state and cactus, mountain, desert series.

    Mary talks about her subjects she chooses, "I often wonder why I'm always focusing on places and not things or people. These places are the special spots that bring people together to love, laugh, and cry. I feel as though my close ones who have passed too soon are living vicariously through me as I evoke the emotions these places bring for people through my art. When people look at my art I want them to be inspired to explore and live by the statement you only live once."

    Returns and exchange details
    I try to keep my shop as environmentally friendly as possible by working on a Print on Demand platform. Many of my items aren't printed until they are purchased. This allows me to offer more items and create less waste. This requires many items to be purchased ahead time to allow for print time. If there is something defective with your item I CAN refund it. Since I run on a print on demand platform I can't exchange sizes or refund your item unless it is defective. Please contact me if there are issues because I love to help solve them! Please note that I cannot accept cancellations either.

    All my items are printed in Las Vegas, NV or in the U.S.

    Please allow up to two weeks for items to be created and shipped. Many of my items are environmentally friendly by being Print on Demand to reduce waste. Each piece is made just for you after you purchase it.
