Announcement   I grew up with a set of matryoshkas and started a collection of my own. I have always liked doing artwork, so it was natural that I would put the two together when I found a way to purchase blank dolls. Several people have convo'd me about whether or not my dolls nest and yes all matryoshkas on this site are nesting dolls!! I later decided to expand my inventory by adding the bird houses, other artwork, vintage items, and hand sewn items but matryoshkas will always be my favorites!
******
After having had more than one person ask me about where the paint I use is made I am transitioning from acrylics basics which I purchased originally to preserve continuity in some half-finished projects to a brand which is manufactured in the United States. I will phase out the Acrylic basics which, although certified and perfectly safe, are made in China.
****
Please check out my shop policies for more information, but feel free to convo me about anything!

Please convo me if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

My 13-year old daughter wanted a Matryoshka. When she got a small stuffed ornament, she thought that was it. So when she opened this as a gift on Christmas present, her face lit up like the sun. She absolutely loves it and has given her a prominent place on her desk. The colors are vibrant, the painted faces are simply adorable. Thank you! Oh, shipping was fast, I was worried it was too close to the holiday, but we got it in record time with a beautiful handwritten note and magnet. Classy lady, that made the doll even more special to her.

About

My goal is to make American Matryoshka style a reality.

I collected matryoshkas because I grew up with two as a child and always loved to play with them. I only began painting them myself when I found some blank dolls available in a catalog. Since then I have experimented with a variety of styles. No two dolls are ever exactly alike.

I grew up in Montana. I live in New Mexico. I have always been interested in art. I collected matryoshkas for myself and began painting my own when I found some blank dolls through a catalog. I live with my 2 cats Sabrina & Thaddeus.

My long-held interest in Russia and matryoshkas led to my decision to paint them myself. I later decided to add the paintings, cat toy, bird house and drawing. More paintings will be appearing in the future. If items expire they will usually be updated and added back in within a few days of the expiration.

Additional policies and FAQs
Matryoshkas are not advisable for children under the age of five because of the very small size of the innermost doll but are painted with non-toxic acrylic paint. The smallest doll in a matryoshka is about half an inch in size on average and could pose a potential choking hazard to small children who put things in their mouths.
