About

Diagram Poems

These poetic piecharts and other non-mathematical, unscientific, allusive and ambiguous diagrams are composed of words and phrases cut from books that I've rescued from gutters and pavements or bought from flea markets and charity shops. Often these are also collaged on paper from old books, end pages, blank pages between chapters and the faded-coloured covers of hardback books.

It can take as long as a couple of days to complete one of these original collages, or as short as an hour. In general, the most laboured pieces are kept to one side for gallery shows and the quicker ones are put for sale on etsy.com at affordable prices.

I make assemblage sculptures too, also from an array of found, discarded materials and everyday imagery. I'm interested in exploring the new thoughts the appear in the unfamiliar connections formed between otherwise familiar objects, words and images.

I hope that you enjoy looking at the work in my shop, reading the diagram poems - and that you find something that you like.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I don't accept exchanges or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Unless an artwork is damaged in transit I am unable to offer refunds.
If you are unhappy with the condition in which your artwork arrived please feel free to send me photographs to ascertain whether or not it was original to the piece or due to mis-handling by "the system."
I try to photograph my work as accurately as possible so that any imperfections - of which there are many due to the nature of my work - are clearly visible.
Payment
I accept payment by credit/debit card and paypal.
As a self-employed, sole trader, you can rest assured that I make all the necessary tax contributions to the HMRC via self assessment every April.
Shipping
I dispatch all orders within 2 working days of an order being placed.
If you need your artwork in a hurry, please let me know I will dispatch it ASAP at no extra cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
The majority of my work is assembled from found, readymade, vintage and often damaged objects and materials. While this wear is apparent in the finished artwork, it is always produced to the highest standard and is structurally sound.
