About MattieMadeShoppe

Sales 3
On Etsy since 2020

Hey!!

I’m Mattie! I’m so glad to meet you and introduce both myself and Mattie Made. I’m currently a 20-year-old student studying advertising and graphic design while simultaneously launching myself into this journey of Etsy.

I’ve always been the one to make cards whenever a special event came around, so I decided to share that hobby through my shop. I loved the idea of embracing the gift of giving through greeting cards and decided to start with those. I am planning on expanding my range of products in the future to share more of my favorite art mediums (maybe some film and art prints!).

My hope is that Mattie Made would be a place where you feel encouraged to share your appreciation for those you love most in this life. Thank you for taking time to get to know Mattie Made a bit, I am so happy you’re here :-)

  • Mattie McChesney

    Owner, Designer, Photographer

I am the creator of Mattie Made! Based in Vancouver, WA, I design, photograph, and market all my products. I have a couple of awesome companies that help me print cards and ship out your orders which helps me out a lot!

Production partners

  • A Print Shop

    Chanhassen, MN

I use a print shop that prints and folds all of my designed cards. I send them each of my designs along with the selected customizations I want (type/size of paper, type of envelope, etc). They then print all my cards and provide envelopes for me since I don't have all of the equipment to do so.

  • A print shop

    Van Nuys, CA

This printing company printed my designed cards.

Frequently asked questions
What type of shipping is offered?

At the moment, Mattie Made only offers USPS First Class shipping in the United States. I have found this to be the best option for both my customers and myself as the seller. It includes tracking, a quick delivery time, and is the most affordable option that provides those previous benefits.

I hope to eventually open up orders internationally, but I'm only able to ship in the U.S. right now.

What size are the cards?

Every greeting card is size A2, which is 4.25"x5.5". The envelope is 4.375"x5.75". This is smaller than the more common sizes, A6 and A7. I chose a smaller size as I find it goes well with any gift size, and it saves on unnecessary paper waste.

Sustainability position?

As the owner of Mattie Made, sustainability is something I want to make a priority for my shop. Along with being important, it is also one of the most difficult aspects to achieve. It is something that is impossible to perfect, but I plan to take steps towards becoming more sustainable despite being a small business.

Right now, almost all materials are made out of paper that can be reused or recycled. I encourage my customers to reuse packaging to the best of their ability as well. In my card boxes, I have decided to go for an all-paper version without a plastic window. I have also opted for a compostable clear bag made from PLA (polylactic acid) which is certified compostable.
