Hi, I'm Matt Hamblen - thanks for visiting my shop at http://www.mattsart.etsy.com.


My paintings are an expression of joy, life, grace, gratitude, giving, love of God, Mother Earth, nature, humanity and kindness as best my soul can conjure up. I hope you can see a presence of all these things in my work.

I was born with a passion to create, and I've been artistic all my life.
I began with pencils as a tot, took a very long side road as a musician when I was in my teens, and eventually came back to my first true love, art. Ever since I began painting seriously back in the 90's, I've found that it's a cathartic experience.

I take great pride in assuring every customer is happy. I'm incredibly proud to be in this business as a maker, and offering an honest product at a great price that you won't find anywhere else. Every stroke is filled with love for what I do, the blessings I have been given, and the wonderful people who support me.


Art goes back in my family for many generations, even with some family fame in the Boston area in the 1800s via Sturtevant Hamblin (Google him).

I was raised traveling to art shows up and down the East coast with my father's painting business (Robert Hamblen of Vermont). It's true what they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and in this case it's been rolling for a good number of generations. Art is truly in the blood.


I am eternally grateful to EVERYONE who has helped make this possible over the years.

All my paintings will arrive signed, and all stretched pieces will arrive with sides painted black (unless white is more appropriate for the piece) and all are finished for the protection of your investment .

Every original painting ships fully insured and packaged with the greatest care.
I'll keep in touch, and forward your shipping and tracking info so you'll know when your order is on the way, and when to expect delivery.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Your happiness means everything to me, so of course I accept returns.
Please contact me within 3 days of receipt if you'd like to return your painting.
Pack it the same way and using the same materials it arrived in, and be sure to insure your return shipment using Insurepost.com for the full value. If you fail to insure the return and it arrives damaged, I cannot refund you.

Please also require my signature at delivery. Once I receive it back in resalable condition, I'll happily refund the cost of the painting minus shipping.
Shipping
I always require a direct signature at delivery. Please feel free to have me ship to you at your work address if it's more convenient for you.

All orders are shipped fully insured to the mailing address on your etsy receipt unless you contact me with an alternate address. Please ensure that your address is updated & correct.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Please know you're responsible for any customs fees, duties, VAT, tax fees, etc. that may be required to receive your order. Online duty calculators will give you an idea of the charges for your country.
Additional policies and FAQs
DAMAGE DURING SHIPMENT:
Damage is an extremely rare event, and it's only happened to me once in 20 years, and that was an international shipment during the Christmas rush, but still, I do ask all customers to inspect their boxes and paintings immediately upon delivery.

In the extremely odd even that your painting has arrived damaged;

1) Take clear pictures of all damage, including the damaged box.
NOTE: This MUST be done for insurance purposes or I cannot be responsible.

2) Please contact me right away, and I'll file a claim immediately using your pictures.

MY GUARANTEE: insurepost.com is a great, honest company, still, my experience is that insurance claims take a little time, and I appreciate your working with me, taking pics that tell the story, and being patient.
Even if the insurance doesn't reimburse us for some reason, at the end of the claims process, NO worries.
I will reimburse you for the cost of the painting at the end of the claims process anyway, as long as you've cooperated with me, taken pictures, and have made every effort so thatwe both get reimbursed.
I've never had this scenario happen before, but if it does, I'll take the hit before I let you down, so your happiness is guaranteed.
