matursuksema's Shop Announcement

Welcome to my store. I'm happy to bring you high quality jewelry making supplies from Bali and beyond. Everything is handcrafted by skilled artisans - women and men - who are fairly paid and work in safe conditions. I'm a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation and Green America.

10% of my sales will be contributed to the ALSA- Evergreen Chapter in memory of my husband, Wally. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. It has no treatment and no cure. The nerve cells that control muscles die and the person ultimately is totally paralyzed before dying of respiratory failure.. The ALSA contributes to research and also provides needed moral support to families (unfortunately not financial).

matursuksema's Shop Policies

Welcome

Welcome to Matur Suksema. I import directly from Bali, working with three silver-smithing groups. Most of our sterling beads and findings are made one bead at a time. The carved bone faces and pendants come from one very talented Balinese carver. We are members of the Fair Trade Federation and Green America.

Payment

I take PayPal, checks, and MO. If you need an invoice please e-mail me. Payment is expected within 7 days unless you e-mail to make other arrangements.

Shipping

I ship in a padded envelope via USPS under most circumstances. Shipping/handling is a flat $2.25 for the first lot and $.35 for each additional lot of beads/findings or bone faces (can be different designs). Combined shipping prices apply only if you pay with one payment. Paying for each item individually will result in higher shipping costs for you, so if you have any questions, or the Etsy calculations are not correct, please e-mail me before paying.

Insurance optional; required when purchases exceed $50.

I try to mail no later than one postal day after receipt of your payment. I will try to let you know if I'm out of town and when I'll be mailing if there is an exception. If you don't hear from me immediately, please be patient.

I love international buyers. USPS has upped postage dramatically so postage is $6.50 for the first item and $3.00 for each additional. If you're buying more than one item, contact me before buying and I may be able to do better on the postage, depending on the item.

Please note that I list items as "handcraft supplies" with the actual purchase price on the customs form. Please don't ask me to list a lower price or to list as a gift. I'm happy to ship in multiple packages if that's helpful (additional shipping applies). Any customs duties or fees are your responsibility. If you have questions, contact your local customs agency before bidding. Also note that customs clearance can delay delivery.

Refunds and Exchanges

I have chosen my Bali suppliers carefully to provide you with a quality product and I try to check over the beads or other items before they're packaged. Occasionally there will be a problem or something wasn't what you expected. E-mail me within 3 days of receipt of the item(s) and we'll negotiate a refund, return or something else. We guarantee 100% satisfaction!

We donate a portion of our profits to health and education projects in Bali and Lombok, particularly those helping women and children make a better life.

Additional Policies and FAQs

I do have quantity and wholesale discounts. Please e-mail for information. And since I work directly with the silversmiths and bone carver, I can work with you on custom designs and/or sizes.
