mauzybroadwaysalon's Shop Announcement

I have been painting my mixed media portraits of women on wood for over thirty years. i am presently showing at Liz-Beth Gallery and RALA in Knoxville, Tennessee- Kress Emporium in downtown Asheville - and Lagerquist Gallery in Atlanta. My work is inspired by certain icons from the 1890"s to the Jazz Age - "the odd woman", "the free thinking woman", "the New Woman", and "the flapper"- this inspiration came from a minor in Women's Studies at the University of Tennessee beginning in 1972. I received my degree in Studio Art in 1977. My work is represented in the archives of The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.
