THE LOVE OF GLASS
DONNA’S GLASS Studio has been Donna's work space for over six years. Donna creates fused glass figures of animals, plants, or an image from her imagination to become a lovely night light or another piece of art, such as a fused glass ornament, mosaic, or a stained glass piece. Night lights are especially fun as they are a functional piece of art. We all need light! Donna takes classes at Stained Glass Garden in Berkeley to continually learn new techniques and improve on her current glass fusing skills.
Glass fusing is the melting of at least two layers of glass at a high temperature. Donna loves to cut different colors of glass, arrange them, stack them, move them like a puzzle to create her vision. She then fuses the glass in her kiln, and ta-dah, a sweet creation is formed. Donna’s mission is to create happy things that make you smile.
