Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop! Take a look around and please reach out with any questions.

I come from a family of makers. My roots are planted among painters, woodworkers, seamstresses, crafters, builders. I was fortunate enough to grow up exposed to their passions, talents, mediums, materials. They gifted their knowledge, their wisdom, their guidance to me. I soaked it up. I tried my own hand at many artistic endeavors. I have worked with watercolors, clay, fabric, wire, stones, paper, flowers. And then, I found macramé…
Many people have a nostalgic connection to macramé. They made plant hangers in the Seventies. Their grandparents had an owl wall hanging in the living room. But oddly enough, not me. Finding macramé, modern macramé, was like a brand new path laid out before me. My own path, inspired by the past but entirely new.
Macramé has given me a voice as an artist. I love the simplicity – string and knots with infinite possibilities. Pieces can be decorative or utilitarian, small-scale or large-scale, intricate or free-form. The nature of the work allows me to create in my small home workshop and stay close to my family. The history, the materials, the process – it all speaks to me.
Vermont is home to so many talented makers and artists. To stand among them and be seen can be a challenge. Macramé has allowed me to push myself, to create new exciting work, to put it out there, to not be afraid. I have been welcomed into a community of Vermont artists who support each other, lift each other up and offer endless encouragement. It is an honor to be a maker in Vermont. The beauty of this amazing place that we call home never ceases inspire creative thoughts and ideas.
