From crafting hobbyist to jewelry making Mom-trepreneur...

There are many different moments in my life that may have had a part in sparking my inspiration for jewelry making. I have loved crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. A large part of that would be thanks to my Aunt Steph who would have craft projects ready for my sister and I every time we went to visit! I also worked at a camp the summer after I graduated college, and became obsessed with the craft cabin. From polishing rocks to making fun bracelets and earrings... I loved it all. But my jewelry creating period all started when I needed a creative outlet while working in a not-so-creative job.
I have always been a tad scatterbrained (still am). I always have so many "ideas" for projects to start and new skills to learn, and once I found out about Pinterest... forget about it. My brain was in overload thinking of all the DIYs I had to try. Then one day, I decided to pick one craft to focus on. Jewelry seemed like the best choice, because I love to buy jewelry, so I could get some use out of my handmade goodies. Plus I always wanted to "edit" or fix the jewelry I bought in stores to make them perfect for me. So, I bought some beads and other jewelry making supplies and
made a couple simple pairs of earrings. They might not have turned out too beautiful, but they did make me realize that THIS was the craft for me. I became inspired to try different styles and color combos, and once I found an amazing bead store with an endless stock of wonders, I was hooked.
I have been making jewelry for a few years now and selling it here and there. After my son was born, although it was never the plan, I ended up staying home with him (so blessed and so exhausted). So, I decided it was time for me to take advantage of nap times and weekends and put all my creative energy into making this my new "full time job."
If it's not obvious by the selection in my shop, blue is my favorite color and I love to incorporate it in most of my creations. I love to take different textures, colors, shapes, pendants, chains, etc. and put them together in different ways until I find my favorite styles. My jewelry style changes as I change, but in my opinion, it just keeps getting better! I hope you enjoy these pretty little pieces as much as I enjoyed making them. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Welcome to Stone + Nash! I have always been a crafter at heart and a lover of all things beautiful. I love mixing different shapes and colors together to create a unique piece that you can wear as the "finishing touch" to a great outfit, or even as the statement piece to your basic jeans and tee.
My favorite thing to incorporate into my pieces would definitely be some beautiful stones and any shade of blue, but I am open to all colors, materials, shapes, and sizes. I like to take different pieces that catch my eye then play with them and put them together in different ways until I find a great look.
I decided to share my creativity with the online world in hopes that you would find something that you love. I enjoyed making each of these items, so I hope you enjoy looking around my shop and find something that catches your eye. If you have any questions about the pieces just ask! Thanks for stopping by!
