My art journals revive the old forgotten craft of bookbinding, so that stories may grow old in them.

I finished Art University and tried many different arts and crafts, from painting to sculpting, to photography, engraving and design.
Somehow bookbinding fit like a glove and I sticked to this craft more than to others, as it combines most of my passions into forming usable objects, and so, the work in progress continues - the blank books are filled with cherished memories, kept and then read after many many years.
MedievalJourney bookbinding studio was founded in 2009 in Romania's capital, Bucharest. I live in a house from 1800's that still has most of the original furniture, the piano and the paintings, things that inspired me to respect the traditional way of making things, preserving the bookbinding methods as passed on from generation to generation.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 3 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 7 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
✿ IF LOST: You will receive a refund if the package is lost.
✿ IF DELAYED (>5weeks): You will receive the refund of the shipping costs (free shipping)
✿ IF FAULTY: If the product doesn't meet your expectations, please let me know.
✿ IF DAMAGED: If your package appears to be damaged by the postal services, you have to fill in a report at your post in the moment you receive your package, and send me a scanned copy of the file, in order to start the insurance procedure.
✿ IF UNCLAIMED: Please check your mailbox regularly, reshipping will incur a $8 handling fee plus standard shipping fee. If your packages is not with you 4 weeks after it's shipped date, or 10 days if sent with Express mail, please let me know!
✿ RETURNS shipping fees are your responsibility. Returned packages must have international tracking included. Custom-made, made to order or personalized items can not be returned.
✿ CANCELATIONS: unless your the product you purchased is personalized/custom made, you can request a cancellation 12 hours after your purchase.
Payment
I accept PayPal payments and credit/debit cards.
Shipping
Shipping is slow due to the pandemic, it usually takes around two weeks within Europe, four weeks to the US and even five weeks to some far away countries or during holidays. If you have a strict deadline, please make your purchase with a lot of time before the event, I cannot predict the postal unexpected checks or delays.

TRACKING NUMBERS: I send all my journals with registered mail which is a safe service and requires signature on delivery. Tracking is available for most European countries and a few others, but some countries like US, Canada and Australia do not offer tracking (they don't scan them)
