About

Lover of making things. Maker of lovely things.

Meg Myers (the smiley hippie, not sultry songstress) is a self proclaimed Jill-of-all-trades. Growing up in a rural town outside of Sacramento, CA she learned how to do stained glass at a young age from her dad. She left the golden state to earn her BFA at the University of Colorado, where she began to understand more her passion for creating. One more move back to CA, two awesome artist apprenticeships, a spectacular quarter-life crises later, and she was ready to start her business.

After having hands in many mediums, glass was the one that stuck. She returned to the skills her dad taught her, broke down an old single pane window she had, and started constructing small geometric homes for an ever-growing succulent habit. This fun exploration soon erupted into a dumpster diving, craigslisting, city-wide scavenger hunt for more windows, which came in abundance. Finding so many windows that were ultimately headed for the dump made it clear to her that she wanted to use exclusively repurposed glass. Check out the "glass" page on megamyersdesigns.com for more about reclaimed window glass.

Meg returned to Sacramento in 2013, and is currently working out of Panama Art Factory alongside some of Sacramento’s finest craftspeople.

Also, she's a huge dope.

Welcome, and thank you for checkin out the digs! With much support from family and friends, I am open for business and could not be more excited about it!

I work in the copper foil technique of stained glass, and every little piece of glass is cut, foiled, and soldered by these two hands (picture the jazz hands...).

If you have a custom order in mind (like a unique bead to use on a box, dimensions, designs, etc.) I am open to chattin' about it, just message me.

Customer service and satisfaction is very important to me, please don't hesitate with questions or concerns by messaging me or emailing me at meg.a.myers[at]gmail.com

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Currently I accept payments through Paypal and Etsy's direct checkout.

Payment is due within 48 hours of purchase. Please send a quick message if theres an issue, because otherwise your item will be re-listed.
Shipping
I ship USPS, standard Priority Mail service, or First Class International. If you need a faster service (because I know you're dying to get this thing...) message and we'll work it out. I will send confirmation and tracking information upon shipment.

Please note: international delivery can take up to 2-4 weeks, so please plan accordingly. It all depends on customs, sometimes a parcel flies on through, other times it gets caught up. Also, tracking is only provided while it is in the U.S., once its abroad you will not be able to use tracking. This is the most affordable international service I've found, if you would like to request a different carrier, please message me.

All items are packaged in newspaper, its a free, recyclable packing material, and it provides a safe cushy ride for fragile glasswares.
Refunds and Exchanges
I package every order carefully, but if any damages occur during shipping please let me know asap, and file a claim with USPS. I will make sure your item is replaced as soon as possible.

All other returns and exchanges will be considered on a case by case basis. Please report any issues to me within 3 days of receipt. Return shipping fees will be the responsibility of the buyer, return item must be insured, if damage occurs during return shipping buyer will be reimbursed once payment has been received from USPS.
Additional policies and FAQs
A note on recycled glass: All of the glass in my work is cut from old windows, and as a recycled product inherently contain signs of their former life. This can include light scratches or hard water spots. You can usually only see these when *closely* examining the piece under certain light at certain angles, and are not noticeable otherwise.

The metals used in my work naturally oxidize (especially in humid climates), if your item has a little discoloration around the edges, it can be easily removed with a wet Q-tip. Never clean with an abrasive material, even the green side of a sponge will scratch or remove the dark patina on the metal. If this does somehow occur, I would suggest bringing your piece to a local stained glass shop, I'm sure they would dab a little patina on there for ya. Or contact me.

I use solder that is 60% Tin and 40% Lead. It is not harmful to handle, just be aware that it does contain lead, and you shouldn't do anything silly like drink water out of it, or sleep cheek to check with it on your pillow ( I know you two are in love, but just don't).
