About

Bringing handknits to every part of life.

To many people, knitting calls to mind scarves and mittens. To me, these are just the beginning. In my shop, I create handknits not only for warmth, but for beauty. I find joy in experimenting with new ideas and patterns. I create knit pieces that range from traditional scarves and hats to uniquely designed Mason Jar Centerpieces for weddings and the home.

Like many, my creativity is rooted in my family: my grandma and my mom taught me to crochet potholders when I was 8 or 9 years old. By high school, I had moved on to creating mittens, hats, scarves, and bags for my friends.

In college, my mom gave me a pair of knitting needles for Christmas. As we sat on the couch in my childhood living room, she taught me the two basic knit stitches: knit and purl. I painstakingly practiced these for the next few hours. But soon, that arduous, tedious process had a strong hold on me: knitting became a passion of mine.

The first knit project I ever completed was a slightly misshapen baby blanket for my cousin's little boy. As my skill improved, I made scarves, hats, and cowls as holiday gifts. Around the time that I was planning my wedding, I rediscovered Etsy (I'd shopped for jewelry on the site in college) and was inspired to begin selling my knits here.

In the span of a few months, I had expanded my knit repertoire and begun creating my own patterns-- including the design for my Mason Jar Centerpieces, which I originally made for my own wedding. These have by far become the best seller in my shop, and they've inspired me to create other designs for the home and wedding-- and even for my two dogs!

So this is my shop-- a space full of knits that span wardrobe, home, weddings, and pets. There's no telling what I'll knit up next!

Welcome to my Etsy shop!

I have made a recent overseas move from the United States to Honduras. Most of my items are now digital files, and will be available for download immediately after payment. Any hand knit items will now process and ship solely when I return to the United States, which will only occur every 3 or 4 months. So, hand knit items are now available only on a special order basis. Please contact me for specifics or to arrange a special order.

I personally knit and crochet every item (and design every pattern) that is in my shop. I make scarves, hats, etc. that I love wearing myself-- I hope you find something you'll love too! I strive to make them as classic and versatile as possible.

Shipping
DOMESTIC
Depending on package weight, buyers within the United States will receive their items via USPS First Class (2-5 day delivery), Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery), or Parcel Post (2-9 day delivery). I will provide a tracking number to you when shipping your item(s). If you need to upgrade to Express Mail for an order, please contact me before purchasing so that I can calculate the cost for you.

INTERNATIONAL
I currently do not have international shipping prices on my listings -- if you are interested in receiving an item overseas, please read below for details and contact me to arrange your purchase.

As of January 2013, the United States Postal Service has greatly increased its shipping fees for international packages. Unless otherwise arranged, international shipments will be sent via USPS First Class International Mail. The USPS does not provide tracking numbers for international shipments -- once the item has been mailed, it can take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Occasionally, if an item is stuck at customs, it may take even longer. Because of this, I cannot guarantee international orders to arrive by a certain deadline.

Buyers in international locations, please note that your packages may be subject to the customs delays and fees of your country -- I cannot pay these customs fees for you, nor will I mark an item as a gift or misrepresent its value.

TURNAROUND/PRODUCTION

Please note that combined items will save on shipping!
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me via email or Etsy message if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason. Your happiness as a buyer is very important to me, and I can offer an exchange, refund, or alteration on any item if returned as is.

TURNAROUND/PRODUCTION TIME

In July 2013 my husband and I moved overseas from the United States to Honduras. Most of my items are now digital files, and will be available for download immediately after payment. COLORS

Most of my items can be made in your choice of color; color choices can be seen in the last photos of my listings. Please note that while I strive to represent colors as accurately as possible, some computer monitors may not show colors the way that they truly look in person. Also, stock swatches of the yarn as seen in my color choice photos are not always the most accurate. If you have purchased an item from me but are not sure about what shade you'd like, please let me know. I am more than willing to send swatches to buyers so that they can make informed decisions about their color choices!

CUSTOM ORDERS

I welcome the chance to make custom items! Please contact me if you would like me to make something especially for you.
