Gave this to my 18 year old niece for Christmas and she loved it! Gave periwinkle blue to 25 year old niece who also loved it! Very warm, well crafted and cute! I have a grey sparkle one myself that I get compliments on quite often.

Maker's Journey

I have always been a maker, which is why costuming was a natural fit for me. I loved the immediacy of costume design and construction, and the constant building of skills and knowledge. Today, you make a mask. Tomorrow, you make a wearable head that is 3 feet tall. Who knows what you will make next.

During my years in profession costume shops, I acquired a wide variety of skills. Millinery. Leather work. Fabric dying and painting. Wig knotting and styling. And a host of other techniques I employed to create unique pieces for the theatre. But art does not have to be limited to the stage, and fine craftsmanship is always in style.

My Etsy shop, like me, has evolved over time. It began with crocheted hats and winter accessories, and has now expanded into traditional millinery offerings. I am delighted to be able to combine so many of the techniques I have honed as a theatrical craftsperson to create offerings that are truly unique.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a maker. I love creating wearable art - hats and accessories that make the wearer feel special. Unique. I am always learning, and always looking for new and exiting ways to apply my skills.
