I was so torn over which quilt to buy. They are all so beautiful. I settled on this one. My beautiful quilt arrived promptly and safely. "Black and White and Red All" over is toasty warm, heirloom-quality and will be treasured! I was so very, very happy with it. I just ordered another for my friend's grandson.
Making something from nothing.
I started quilting when I was pregnant with my first baby. That was 6 years ago. Quilting has become a big part of my day. This hobby gives me balance in a juice, crackers and playdate world. I stay home with my two little girls fulltime. Five years ago I bought a long arm machine. I do some custom quilting for friends but mostly I enjoy making bed quilts and seeing them used. The idea of sewing scraps together to make something beautiful is a great theme for my life. As I sew and create, God is teaching and creating me. I am teaching and leading my children. My husband is a great support. He works more than fulltime on our dairy farm. Our life is similar to what I imagine the woman who made quilts in the past may have lived. I feel a connection to my grandma's who both quilted and were dairy farmers wives. This is a beautiful life and I appreciate every moment.

My girls and I spend lots of evenings snuggling under quilts. I enjoy sewing to make useful items. Mostly bed quilts. I love the idea of this scrappy quilt being passed down thru families and loved to bits. Everyone should have a favorite blankie.

these days, that's rare. What I see is a quilt designed by someone with a
good eye for color, design, and pattern, and one that's made with great
