Great quality earrings and really wearable, also on normal days! I love the contrast between the deep red and gold. Quick shipment as well so I would highly recomment the shop!

Jewelry with a history

Growing up on an island that is crazy rich in archaeological finds and sites history is always present one way or the other. Inspired by these riches I started researching and creating jewelry not only found on the island but from all over Europe. I thought I would find the renaissance era the most interesting to recreate, but it turned out that the early 1900's with the flapper style was the time that kept me most busy. Now, after a while my preferences are changing again. The simple but incredible work of the Romans around year 0 is so much fun to work with and it seems that this is the style that also generate the most sales for me.

I sometimes have an occasional design idea of my own, these items will be listed under the "recent past and present" headline in my store. To me everything is history, if it has happened it is history and it can be researched. I appreciate an archaeological find from the 1950's as much as one from the stone age, since it tells us something about someone, somewhere. Everyones history is worth telling. For different reasons.

I have had a lot of help from an old friend of mine here at Etsy, her store is called byJodi, make sure you check her out!

Jewelry for the odd occasion perhaps? In charge of finding the right jewelry for your Shakespeare play? Want to show off your inner viking? All pieces are inspired by jewelry depicted in paintings, recovered from archaeological excavations or kept as family heirlooms. Some are very much like the original piece, some are more freely interpreted. If you are serious about your 1920’s costume party, or into Viking LARP or attending renaissance fairs this might be a way to effortlessly get your hands on appropriate jewelry!
