As hemp is one of the strongest, most durable of all natural textile fibers & has been used since Kemet (Ancient Egypt) which is just one of the many reasons we string with Hemp. As a guide each Guru bead is a Cowrie Shell, which played a major role in African Culture, Religious Ceremonies, as Protection Amulets & even a form of Currency! In true alignment, Gemstones & Crystals have been used since Kemet.
