Welcome to Melanie Casey!

Hi, and welcome!

We are Melanie Casey and her team of creatives (and our fluffy mascot Betty, Melanie's huge Bernese Mountain Dog). Our brand new studio and showroom is a 30-minute drive from Boston in North Andover, Massachusetts. There, every week, we are working tirelessly together to make your online ordering experience seamless, and to provide you with a selection of delicate jewelry that you just can't live without!

Together we brainstorm, design, and build each piece that you see in our collection. Our collection features completely original designs that we make piece by piece and photograph right in-house.

A craft that started as Melanie's side hobby has now become a bustling business that is growing by the minute! Melanie's background is in finance, but she found more happiness in working daily with her hands to bring to life the sparkly, antique-inspired jewelry designs in her sketchbooks. Now in a studio and showroom in North Andover, Massachusetts, with a growing team of dedicated and skilled staff members behind her, Melanie is able to more freely experiment with new designs. A dream job come true!

Melanie is extremely involved in production, and spends many hours on the bench per week. She puts her hands and careful eye on every single piece of jewelry that is made in our studio, which ensures the high quality of the jewelry you will cherish for generations. We do not believe in mass-producing products to "look" handmade. Your rings will be hammered by hand by our talented jewelry artists, and each stone will be set skillfully by hand.

In an industry that is constantly evolving, we are eager to continue to learn, adapt, grow, and experiment with our artisan jewelry line. We keep the collection fresh by constantly brainstorming new layouts, techniques, and styles. We love mixing and matching different cuts and colors of gemstones, and sourcing new, rare stones for Limited Edition collections. Each design aspect (like metal color, finish, stone choice and design orientation) is thought through in great detail ahead of production to provide you with a wide line of timeless pieces to choose from.

We take great pride in our work, and we believe that the happiness of our clients is paramount to what we do. Welcome to Melanie Casey! We hand-craft our delicate 14k gold jewelry with carefully selected precious and semi-precious gemstones. We specialize in delicate engagement rings, as well as everyday rings, stud earrings, cuff bracelets and necklaces.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

We will accept returns on most pieces (see below for exceptions). Items must be returned within 30 days of receipt. After 30 days, all sales are final. Since our designs are crafted by hand, all returns will incur a 30% restocking fee. Please contact us prior to sending your jewelry back, so we can be sure it arrives safely. Clients are responsible for return shipping costs, and we highly recommend that you insure your package - we are not responsible for items lost in the mail.

All customized jewelry (including custom Mini Cluster rings) are final sale. We will not accept returns on any customized piece.


We do not accept exchanges for any piece. You may return your item within 30 days to receive a refund less the 30% restocking fee.


Ring sizing is not universal, and we want your ring to fit correctly from the start! We offer two great sizing tools that we highly recommend using before we make your jewelry.

Free plastic sizer - A plastic US sizing belt that is great for finding your general measurement. Request a free sizer by sending us a message.
Perfect Fit sizer – A sterling silver sizer that is our most highly recommended tool to best ensure that your jewelry will fit perfectly on the first try. Order your Perfect Fit sizer here:
Perfect Fit sizers can be returned to us to recycle, and we’ll refund you for the value of your sizer(s) – less shipping

If your ring does not fit, we offer one free resize per order within the first three months of ownership. The client is responsible for shipping costs both ways. We will gladly resize your ring after the initial three month period, and more than once if necessary, but this will require an additional fee of $30 plus shipping. International clients are responsible for shipping and customs fees for resizing services, so we encourage all clients to utilize our sizers to avoid needing a resize!

We understand that things happen and fine jewelry can be delicate. Please be sure to take care of your jewelry by not sleeping, showering, cleaning, exercising, or swimming while wearing it!

However, we stand by our work, which is why we offer a very generous three year warranty on all pieces. If your jewelry requires a repair for manufacturing issues (our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear), please contact us. The client is responsible for shipping costs both ways. If you are not sure if your required repair falls within our warranty terms, please email us and we will help determine the best next steps.

Warranty Terms

We offer a 3 year warranty for your Melanie Casey jewelry. We will service your jewelry for free for up to 3 years of your purchase date. Some exclusions apply.

If you have taken your Melanie Casey jewelry to another jeweler for service, this voids our normal warranty.
Repair, resizing, and refinishing services are non-transferable. If services are requested by someone other than the original buyer, a fee will apply.
No warranty is available on center stones valued over $500.
Always contact us right away if your Melanie Casey jewelry becomes damaged.
Our warranty applies to manufacturing issues, not normal wear and tear.
We will resize your ring one time, without a service fee. Resize requests must be made within 3 months of order delivery. A resizing fee of $30 will apply if the request falls outside of these parameters.
The buyer is responsible for shipping to and from our studio, including customs fees for international clients. Many countries do not require clients to pay VAT charges twice on the same piece of jewelry, but it is the client's responsibility to inquire with their customs office about this, and to pay any required fees.

Additional Return Policies

Shipping will not be refunded for returns.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer for any returns or services, including customs fees for international clients.
All original packaging and paperwork is required for returns. Otherwise, 150usd surcharges will apply.
No warranty is available on center stones with a replacement value over 500usd. If you plan to privately insure your ring, an appraisal can be requested at the time of purchase for no additional fee.
To international buyers (outside of the US): If your package is returned to us because you either were not able to be contacted at the time of delivery, or if you refuse to pay your country's import fees, you will receive a refund for your order LESS the shipping fee, LESS the import fee (if we were charged for it), and LESS the restocking fee for the item(s) you ordered.
To domestic buyers (within the US): If your package is returned to us because you were not able to be contacted at the time of delivery, you will receive a refund for your order LESS the shipping fee and LESS the restocking fee for the item(s) you ordered.

We require payment in full before production can begin, and before jewelry can be shipped.

Accepted forms of payment on Etsy: All major credit cards, as well as PayPal
We do not accept wire transfers nor personal checks.

Production Time

Please refer to our published production times here for an accurate turnaround time estimate. RUSH orders are completed faster than our typical turnaround, but must be approved ahead of placing your order. If you need a RUSH order, email us before you place the order, please!

Metal & Finish Options

We work in solid 14k gold and platinum.

Most items in the collection are available in either 14k white, yellow, or rose gold.
Some select items are only available in one metal color.
Most items can be made with either a bright shiny polish or a brushed matte finish.


Your Melanie Casey jewelry will be packaged securely for shipment.
A receipt will be included in the box for reference to the order number and some order details, however no pricing information is indicated here.
Your jewelry will come gift-wrapped in a jewelry box or pouch, depending on the piece.
Orders over $100 will receive an official Melanie Casey Certificate of Authenticity.


The buyer is responsible for shipping costs to and from our studio.

Domestic Orders (in the US)
An adult (21+) signature will be required upon delivery.
All orders are shipped UPS and FedEx
Contact us to reroute your package or hold for pickup. Due to insurance restrictions, we at Melanie Casey will submit these requests on your behalf with UPS and FedEx.
International Orders (outside the US)
We ship orders valued under 400usd with USPS First Class International (2-5 weeks)
FedEx Priority International (approximately 5-7 business days) is used for all other international shipments.
International packages are fully insured.
Many countries require VAT/import fees at customs before delivery can be completed. The buyer is solely responsible for these fees.
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to the following countries at this time.
Argentina, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malta, Mexico, Martinique, New Caledonia, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela

Upgrade Options

Diamond Upgrade Options

Many of our diamond rings can be upgraded upon request. The quality of the diamond can be increased for an additional fee. If you would like a larger diamond in one of our current designs, please contact us for a price quote. A 5,000usd minimum will apply for upgrade requests that include a larger diamond.

Custom Designs

At this time, we are *not* accepting custom design requests. Sorry! Also, we do not offer engraving services. Contact us to be added to a waiting list for any out of stock designs that we are planning on restocking, or to add your custom design ideas to our suggestion list.

Jewelry Care

To keep your jewelry in great condition, we recommend:

Removing all jewelry before being exposed to chemicals of any kind (including cleaning chemicals, lotions, soaps and make up), before swimming, showering, or exercising, before doing outdoor work or gardening, and before heavy lifting.
Clean your jewelry regularly using warm water, gentle soap, and a soft toothbrush.
Store your jewelry in a soft pouch or padded jewelry box.

Wholesale & Consignment

We do sell wholesale to select worldwide stockists who we believe share our vision and aesthetic. Buyers interested in becoming an authorized retailer are encouraged to apply. Not all applications will be accepted at this time. We do *not* accept consignment or dropship opportunities.


If you plan to privately insure your Melanie Casey jewelry, an appraisal can be requested at the time of your jewelry purchase for no additional fee. Appraisals are available for pieces valued at $1000usd and up. An appraisal must be requested within one year of purchase date, or fees may apply.

Canceling an Order

If you need to cancel your open order, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Email orders [!at]

Cancellation requests must be requested within 3 business days of order placement.
We will refund you in full for your cancelled order, however all deposits, rush fees, and partial payments made through layaway are non-refundable.

♦ When you receive your shipment notification on Etsy, please allow an additional business day for processing with our shipping carriers. Tracking may not update right away.

♦ Domestic Shipping:
We ship using USPS, and UPS carriers. Your specific carrier will depend on the value of your purchase. We always ship fully insured, with signature required, and tracking.

A 21+ adult signature will be required at the time of delivery.

We will not ship to a hotel

♦ International Shipping (to clients outside of the U.S.)
International orders with a value below 450usd will ship with USPS First Class Mail (unless the buyer selects upgraded shipping), and will include full insurance. These packages can take up to five weeks for delivery due to the amount of time that your package takes to process through your country's customs office.

All International orders over 450usd will ship with FedEx Express International, with full insurance.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - IMPORTANT NOTE - Additional fees may apply.

Your country's customs office may require you to pay a VAT/import fee before they deliver your package. We are not aware of the laws from one country to the next, and we will not be responsible for those fees. Contact your customs office directly if you have specific questions about these fees.
If you refuse to pay the required import fees and the package is returned to us, we will refund your order less the restocking fee, shipping charges both ways, and the import fees (our account will be charged automatically of all of this!).
Please don't let this happen! It's heartbreaking and costly!

♦ Some countries/regions that our clients have reported to require VAT fees:
UK, Greece, Israel, Canada, Spain, Chile, France, United Arab Emirates, Australia (this is a growing list, so please contact your country's customs office directly if you are concerned about facing import fees)

Always contact us immediately in the event that your package is lost in transit. Insurance coverage is time-sensitive, so no time should be wasted if you have not received your package within the predicted window of time.

♦ Domestic lost packages (within the U.S.):
Any orders that USPS/UPS/FedEx marked as "delivered" and are subsequently lost or stolen before reaching the customer will require a *replacement fee* to remake the order. Please first contact your local postal carrier in the event that your package is marked as "delivered" through USPS/UPS/FedEx but is not in your possession, as packages will require *signature confirmation*. Contact us if you are still not able to locate your package.

♦ International lost packages (outside the U.S.):
For lost parcels, we must wait 45 days (from the date the package was shipped) to file an insurance claim for international locations, as the package may still be processing through international customs. Please attempt to contact your customs office to check on the status of your package - it may be there awaiting your payment of VAT/import fees. Claims must be filed no later than 90 days from the shipment date. If the package is in fact lost or stolen and the client did not declare the package missing within 90 days, a refund *cannot* be issued to the customer. If the customer wishes to replace the missing order, a *replacement fee* will be charged to the customer.

What's the difference between Bright vs. Matte?

Our bright polish is a shiny finish seen most traditionally on gold jewelry. Our brushed matte finish is more rustic and velvet-like, with a less reflective shine than our bright polish.

How do I find my size?

We measure in US ring sizes. We offer whole, half, and quarter sizes. Some sizes are not available.

Even if you have been sized somewhere else before, we highly recommend using our sizing tools for proper measurement for our jewelry. Sizing can vary a bit from one jeweler to the next, so using our tools will best ensure a proper fit on the first try.

We'll be happy to send you a complimentary plastic sizer! Select the "US Ring Sizer" option from the drop-down menu at check-out.

For the most accurate sizing, we highly recommend our Perfect Fit sizer. This is especially recommended for anyone ordering an eternity band, a wide band or large set of stacking rings, or for anyone whose fingers may be tricky to size:

Can I customize this design?

We put a great amount of time, thought, energy and care into each design in our collection. It is quite costly to customize a design, because it requires hours of additional labor and often requires us to order new materials for the customization. We're sorry, but we are not accepting custom requests at this time.

What is the current production time?

Most of our pieces, unless explicitly marked as "Ready to Ship" within the listing description, are made-to-order. Due to our high order volume, current production time is about 4-6 weeks (+shipping), but we do our best to get orders in the mail as quickly as possible.

Can you RUSH my order?

If you are in a RUSH, please contact us directly with your exact deadline and we'll do our best to accommodate! Rush fees will apply to prioritize your order, and express shipping is required. Refer to our full shop policies for more details.

Can I return or exchange this?

We accept returns, except for Final Sale items. Please refer to our full shop policies for details:

Your jewelry will come in our custom Melanie Casey gift packaging, ready for gift-giving!

And not to worry, the paperwork included in your shipping box will not include any pricing information, so we can ship directly to your recipient!

How should I take care of my jewelry?

We offer cleaning, resizing, repair and refinishing services for the lifetime of your jewelry - just reach out to us!

Here are some helpful tips to keep your jewelry in top shape:

♦ To best combat the residue buildup that comes with regular wear, you can clean your jewelry regularly at home with warm water, gentle soap, and a soft toothbrush.

♦ To maintain the integrity of your jewelry, remove your jewelry before showering, gardening or doing outside work, using cleaning chemicals, applying makeup and lotions, swimming, and exercising. Exposure to any harsh chemicals or heavy pressure will put your jewelry at risk.

♦ Store your jewelry in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box.

Can I pay for this in installments?

Unfortunately, no. We no longer offer payments through layaway, as this has become very difficult for us to manage over time. We're sorry!
