My Process

What started in high school as an independent study has become a journey of learning the art (and craft!) of photography and also of establishing myself as a photographer. I have a BFA in photography and currently work as a freelance photographer.

I do all sorts of shooting and I have many different tools and spaces that I work with depending on what I'm doing. While I love to work from the artistic end of creating photographic projects to help challenge my aesthetic and conceptual sensibilities, I also enjoy taking on commissioned work which helps me strengthen my technical abilities. It's also so much fun to meet new people and see new places which really helps me get creative!

I started creating the magnets with the idea of creating a photography product that would be affordable to everyone and unique to display. Though I will never tire of creating a beautiful print (especially in the darkroom!) I have a lot of fun with the magnets. The wearable art is definitely an extension of that and creates a unique challenge of finding and fitting images into the concept of "wearable art".

"Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them" - Elliott Erwitt

Returns and exchanges
If an item is not to your satisfaction, I would happily accept it for either a return or exchange within 30 days of the date of your initial purchase provided it is in the same condition in which you received it. Refunds/exchanges are not available for sale items. I will cover the cost of postage for returned US domestic shipments -- once you've contacted me in order to initiate the exchange, I will send you an email that will include a PDF of the return shipping label and instructions on how to return the package. Items need to be mailed inside the same packaging they arrived in, covering the original label.

Refunds resulting from accidental orders or buyer's remorse are subject to a 10% restocking fee to cover the associated costs with re-listing the item (certain costs, like the listing fee, are not refunded by etsy) -- my item descriptions are very detailed and specific, please read them carefully before making your purchase.
I accept etsy direct payment, paypal, checks, or money orders. If you wish to pay with check or money order, select 'other' at check-out. You will be emailed with further instructions. Items only ship once payment clears.
All in stock orders are usually shipped the same day that you place your order. Everything is sent from Baltimore, Maryland, USA via USPS First Class Mail®, and should arrive in about 2–5 days (international orders take longer).

All prints 8x10 and under are mailed flat with hard backing, and larger prints are sent rolled in long boxes/tubes to prevent the photos from becoming damaged. Magnets are shipped in envelops and wearable art is sent in small cushioned envelops.

Prints are either printed by me, or locally at Nations Photo Lab and this info is included in each listing. All items ship directly from me.

I try not to include too much printed matter in the shipment to help keep my paper consumption down. Let me know if you need a copy of your receipt or any other paperwork, and I'll be happy to send that along.

Contact me before placing your order for rush delivery or if you would like to request a delivery confirmation or insurance for your order.

I do accept custom orders, whether you're looking for print of an image I have posted somewhere else but not in my shop or custom wearable art/paperweights. Discounts are not available for custom orders.
