I have been creating art, décor, "things" for my home most of my adult life. It's funny, as a child I never thought I was that creative or even a good artist. Everything has it's time, right. So within the past 4-5 years, I've been focusing on my canvas art. Most of my art is inspired by a feeling; sometimes the way a song makes me feel. Music is the most inspirational juice for me. Whether it be songs from my mom's era all the way to something from the current selection. Although, I must say, music recorded from the 50's to the early 80's has made the most impact on me.

Creating a beautiful piece on canvas is truly music to my soul. That same feeling of warmth and love comes through with each piece. I just wish I could have more time to be in my art space. While giving my 18 year old a start on life and caring for my aging parents, I'm also a wife and a school bus driver. So, as you can imagine, there isn't a lot of extra creating time. No worries though, I get in there any chance I can. Plus, working on a school schedule, I'm off during the summers. Now that's a great gig; Right?

I'm always trying new techniques. Some work out great and some not so great. My attention span sometimes isn't very patient and I don't always try to perfect a technique. I say; the shorter the technique, the better.
