A world of Emotional Art

I am Lisa Falzon - and thank you for visiting my world, Meluseena.

‘Meluseena’ is a dimension from my imagination, named in my youth, the world I retreated to to express myself.

Drawing emotions is my joy. My favourite feelings and concepts - inner strength, vulnerability, tenderness, womanhood, animal connection, love, protection, empowerment, safety, memory, magic and wonder - I explore these in the form of visual metaphors and the stories.

My love for animals and the natural world seeps through into my work as strong as my love for myth. And even moreso, you will feel through some of my works, I hope, my desire to empower women. There are dangers in this world, but they are surmountable. Meluseena is filled with positive message, it is the journey of the relentless caterpillar to the butterfly.

I hope above all to connect with the people who view my art, via feeling. This is what art is to me, it’s a bridge between two people that is not experienced via words, but via feelings.

The opportunity to engage in dialogue with people who make a connection with my work and want to collect it is a truly humbling one. And I am deeply grateful for every single person who supports Meluseena - your pennies keep my studio running, so that I can keep creating.

My Process
All the artwork you see on Meluseena is digital. I create it on a big graphics tablet - something like a digital easel (Wacom Cintiq is its official name) - and draw with a digital pen directly into my computer. Sometimes I will integrate photo textures to make paintings vibrate between the real and the surreal. With digital art there is no ‘original’ in the old sense of the world. In some ways I love this aspect of it even philosophically - where does my art ‘go’ when my computer is turned off?

  • Lisa Falzon

    Owner, Artist

I draw and design everything for Meluseena, coming up with new images and products to go on them. I source out materials, collaborate with manufacturers, and work hard at this business practically round the clock. I'm entirely self-taught.

Production partners

  • Clock Makers

Antonis & his clock-making studio are the indie manufacturers that fabricate Meluseena's line of wall-art clocks!

  • Archival Printers

    PA, United States

The archival printers I use to create my prints are a top-notch business based in Pennsylcvania, and they specialise in producing high quality reproductions.

  • Silver Casting Studio

    Scotland, United Kingdom

These guys casts my pieces in sterling silver from my original wax carving designs - I then finish them personally at my local smithy, and ship them from Berlin

  • Textile Printers

    United States

This small indie company, based in USA, prints and ships all my textile products. Everything is printed and sewn in the USA and they work closely with me to produce lovely home and lifestyle pieces I'm super pleased to put the Meluseena tag on.

Returns and exchange details
I am a small indie small-time artist seller and want to put heart behind all my policies. I treasure my customers as I treasure my own brand.

My policies might differ than those you are used to when dealing with big box shops - especially with regards to refunds, please read on!

🔶Cancellation?Just made an order but want to cancel or change it?
No problem, of course! - but please contact me right away. I might not always be able to cancel an order once time has passed if its been shipped already so just let me know as soon as you can.

🔶Lost/Damaged items?
These items ship trackably:

Prints to the USA via USPS
Cushions to the USA via USPS
Clocks to worldwide via Cyprus Post
Jewelry to worldwide EU, via Deutsche Post

Prints shipping outside USA DO NOT ship trackably.

Your tracking number will be on your receipt page, under the map - or contact me to get it. Use free online sites to track it (www.trackitonline,ru), as Etsy's API struggles with consistently displaying package trails.

In the event that you suspect a package lost and it has shipped trackably, we can look it up. Until an item shows up as delivered by tracking, it is my responsibility.

If the item is marking still reliably in-transit and less than a 1.5 month has passed, I will ask you to wait before refunding, as I cannot consider it lost.

I cannot refund if a package is claimed by the customer as not arrived, but is showing up as delivered by the postal company.
I will refund an item that was returned to me due to non-pickup or unsuccessful delivery attempts by you post office only after it has arrived back at my studio, and this will be minus the cost of the shipping.

If the package cannot be found and has not shipped trackably
Please contact me immediately if something weird seems to be afoot!

Extremely rarely, you might receive a clock that does not work as soon as you try to turn it on, or a broken mirror or bent print ( We check everything before sending it out - but accidents happen!)
If so - contact me immediately and we can sort something out right away.

🔸Received the item but had a change of heart?
Like all honest shops I accept returns within an acceptable time frame of 7 days after you receive the order. Please contact me with your intent to return within 7 days, I will provide you with a return address (which might be overseas, depending where the item was shipped from) and I will refund you the cost of the item on receipt of the item.

I will need to be notified of the intent to return as soon as you have an intention to and within those 7 days. After that, I'm afraid I cannot offer refunds on 'change of heart' orders. I hope you understand that the items will have to be shipped back to me trackably so you can prove they were shipped, and I can only return the cost of item itself and not shipping.
I ship once per week.

All items shipping from my studio in Berlin will require a signature on receipt. So if your postal server does not find you home, you will probably have to pick it up at a depot or ring to arrange redelivery.

🔶About my Art Prints:
♦ My prints are lovely giclee prints, professionally out-of-house by my Pennsylvania-based printing elves.

They are true and beautiful reproductions of my work, on lovely thick (232 g/m²) archival paper with fade-resistant Epson K3 Ultrachrome inks

♦ By now most people realise that monitor brightnesses and colour ranges differ from machine to machine. I work on a calibrated monitor and focus on getting my work to match with my prototype prints - but this still might not be what you are seeing yourself on your device. Please allow for these differences 😘

🔶About my jewelry:
♦ My treasure jewelry in silver and gold were designed by me, cast in silver for me at a casting house, then finished by myself personally at my local smithy.

🔶About my Clocks:
♦ Are made for me by Europe-based artisans in a small clock studio in Cyprus, the Mediterranean
♦ They are made of acrylic plastic with a very brilliant reproduction of my designs attached to it.
♦ They are sturdy clocks despite their deceivingly affordable price and make great gifts.
